FAKE NEWS ABOUT RUSSIA HAS LOST CREDIBILITY

In the last few weeks, we have heard so much news about alleged Russian hacks of DNC and Podesta emails that it isn’t even news anymore. The only reason it appears to be news is that it continues to have front-page position in the orthodox media even though the basic story is old and unchanged.

The story contains basically two elements: (1) security agencies of the US government say there is overwhelming evidence that emails were hacked by the Russian government to effect the presidential election, but (2) those agencies have failed to deliver that evidence. The only new elements that appear from day to day is the name of the person or agency that makes the claim and that fails to deliver. The featured stories from this week’s news are classic examples of that pattern.

The only reason we are bothering to report on this ongoing non-news phenomenon is that the major media outlets are counting on people to become so saturated by the claim that they fail to notice that the proof of the claim is still missing. We must not let them get away with that deception.

President elect Donald Trump is suspicious of the intelligence agencies he will oversee because they are stalling a briefing in which they promised to provide proof that Russian hacking of emails influenced US elections. The evidence that the Obama administration has released so far is far from credible. For example, a list of internet addresses that they released purportedly linking Russians to hacking turned out to be from the TOR internet service, from American universities, and from Yahoo. James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee that the Russians did not hack into the elections or change vote tallies. He stated, however, that the Russians influenced voter attitudes through RT (Russia Today news channel), social media, and fake news, in addition to hacking emails, all of which had an impact on the election. He failed to comment that these are precisely the activities pursued by the US in other countries or that the politically significant content of the emails were the responsibility of those who sent them, not those who revealed them. Sean Hannity interviews Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Assange says that the Russians were not the source of his information about the DNC and Podesta emails. Because the Wikileaks revelations were not widely reported in the orthodox media, he concluded that the Leftists in politics and the media colluded together. The story of Russia hacking the DNC emails is more fake news. David E. Spring, a retired college instructor, who specializes in website security and design, analyzed a 13-page report from the FBI and Department of Homeland Security that claims to prove that Russians hacked into the DNC emails. Spring found that, out of 885 ISP links offered as evidence of hacking, only two were in Russia. He concludes that it is far more likely that the attacks are coming from the NSA. More fake news from the Washington Post. The newspaper reported that the Russian government hacked the energy grid in Vermont, putting America at risk. Actually, the reporters didn’t even bother to contact the Burlington utility company that supposedly had been hacked. Florida: Esteban Santiago has been identified by his military ID as the shooter at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. He has been arrested for killing five people. Mexico: Protests and looting fueled by anger over a 20% increase in gasoline prices have led to four deaths, the ransacking of at least 300 stores, and the arrests of more than 700 people. The rise in gas price was the result of the government’s deregulation of energy prices, which means they no longer will be subsidized by taxes. Independent researcher, Nathan Stolpman, of Alt-News examines the stories surrounding the New Years attack in Istanbul. He uncovers numerous incongruities that include: cell-phone video without an identified source that is passed off as video from a surveillance camera, what are supposed to be bullet sparks that appear to be merely spark balls used in paintball games, video of the shooter dressed as Santa, which was provided by a loyal supporter of  Turkish President Erdogan, the curious coincidence of cell phones said to have blocked bullets and saved lives, and a second attack in Istanbul at a mosque on the same day that was said to be ‘non-political.’ The Turkish government now is accusing terrorist hackers for electrical outages that likely were caused by snow storms. CLIMATE CHANGE IS A TRICK

Hello Edward.
Global climate change was an very good trick – we were made to feel guilty of causing a temperature fluctuation which effected this solar system, not just earth. We have saved a lot of energy (partially causing the oil industry decline-over supply of the last 2 years) and developed electric transport in it’s stead- so it’s not all bad, but the money that was/is channeled into fraudulent carbon-tax schemes etc needs to stop as it’s corruption at it’s most covert level. Carbon dioxide is needed for trees to grow – plant more trees they bring rain and will stop desertification.

Came across an odd bit of news. Wish I had saved the article, it may be on YouTube. It was in reference to something eating, as the author put it, a chemtrail. It was a short video from this past September. He claimed some object, possibly a UFO, was eating them. I watched the video, I am no expert by any means, but it did appear that something took out a large section of a chemtrail. Trick photography, wind shear, what have you, it may be something for your team to look into. Odd to say the least.

Once again, the week’s news has been dominated by a boisterous contest between President-elect Trump and the mainstream media. In my view, that’s an encouraging sign that we actually may have a chance to break, or at least to bypass, the existing media monopoly. The epitaph “Fake News” was created by the collectivist/Left media as a desperate attempt to discredit the alternative, independent media that has a nasty, inconvenient habit of telling the truth about those in power.

But, thanks to the audacity of Donald Trump and to the spunk and growing professionalism of the alternative media itself, the strategy of the Left has backfired. The bell is rung and it cannot be un-rung. The memory of millions of TV viewers who witnessed Donald Trump pointing at the CNN reporter and saying “YOU are fake news!” cannot be erased. 

As encouraging as that is, however, we must not be so fascinated by the theatrical quality of this contest that we forget to observe what else is going on under the radar. For that reason, I have included two items in this week’s featured news. The first two stories relate to the fake-news issue, but the third story is perhaps even more important. The reporter says that, on a scale of one to ten relating to importance, this story ranks 500.. When you see what it is, I think you will agree.

Donald Trump became the target of a particularly disgusting fake-news report that went viral on social media and talk radio. The report, which has no admitted source and no evidence whatsoever to support it, claims that Trump went to the Ritz Carlton in Moscow and hired a Russian hooker to urinate on a bed that was said to be where Obama once slept. The report supposedly was ‘discovered’ by a British intelligence officer who was hired by Trump’s political opponents in both major parties and it was delivered to the FBI by Senator John McCain, who also is a Trump hater. In spite of the obvious unreliability of this story, CNN reported it as though it were fact. His excuse is the claim that the election system is threatened by Russian ‘influence’. CLIMATE CHANGE IS A TRICK

Global climate change was an very good trick – we were made to feel guilty of causing a temperature fluctuation which effected this solar system, not just earth. We have saved a lot of energy (partially causing the oil industry decline-over supply of the last 2 years) and developed electric transport in it’s stead- so it’s not all bad, but the money that was/is channeled into fraudulent carbon-tax schemes etc needs to stop as it’s corruption at it’s most covert level. Carbon dioxide is needed for trees to grow – plant more trees they bring rain and will stop desertification.

Came across an odd bit of news. Wish I had saved the article, it may be on YouTube. It was in reference to something eating, as the author put it, a chemtrail. It was a short video from this past September. He claimed some object, possibly a UFO, was eating them. I watched the video, I am no expert by any means, but it did appear that something took out a large section of a chemtrail. Trick photography, wind shear, what have you, it may be something for your team to look into. Odd to say the least.

MURPHY’S LAW IN POLITICS

Buried deep beneath this week’s dramatic news about the inauguration of President Trump and undercover videos of leftist groups plotting to bring revolution to the streets of America, there was a story that is easy to miss. The event, which is described in the Featured News section, below, was barely newsworthy and certainly not surprising. In my view, however, it contains a profound lesson that is the key to restoring the Republic.

The story is about the abrupt end of donations to the Clinton Foundation now that neither Bill nor Hillary are in direct political power. No one was surprised at this because, even though the Clinton organization claimed that the Foundation did much good around the world, it was obvious that the millions of donated dollars were merely bribes for political favors. The minute the opportunity for such favors was removed from the equation, donations ceased.

This is a variation of Murphy’s Law: “Anything that can go wrong, will.” The political version is this: “If corruption is possible, corruption will occur.” That’s the lesson. If we create a government that allows corruption, we create a government that eventually will be destroyed by it. By allowing it, we create it. Bill and Hillary are merely the tip of the iceberg. There are thousands of others just like them who, as we speak, are continuing the grand tradition. Why? Because they can.

If we truly want to put an end to corruption, we must stop looking only at the criminals who are exposed from time-to-time and begin looking at the system that allows corruption. As long as the system remains, so will corruption.

The system that allows political corruption is built on a belief that the proper function of the state is to re-distribute wealth and treat different groups and classes of citizens differently, supposedly for the greater good. The name for that belief is collectivism. It is what allows con artists to move into government proclaiming they wish to serve mankind and bring about social justice. In most cases, however, what they really want is to be the elite who decide who gets what and who pays for it. Once in that position, they know there will be a never-ending line of people at their doors offering gifts, donations, no-risk investments, under-the-table payoffs, and pleasures galore in return for high-profit government contracts, tax loopholes, and legislative advantages over their competition.

This phenomenon is 100% predictable, and there is no way to stop it. It cannot be stopped by limiting the terms of elected officials, or by putting limits on the amount one person can donate to an official, or by preventing former officials from becoming lobbyists, or anything else that squirts water on the flames while ignoring the gas leak.

Collectivism is the gas leak. As long as we accept a political system built on the assumption that office holders will be honorable and that it is good that they should direct our lives, we shall forever be victims of the predator class.

The only way to stop thieves from going into public service is to have nothing there for them to steal. When the American Republic was created, this concept was well known. It was expressed by Thomas Jefferson when he said: “In questions of power, let no more be said of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”

The message was clear. Only fools would create a political system that depends on “confidence in man”. He and the others at the Constitutional Convention understood that scoundrels will seek government employment if there is an advantage for them to do so. Therefore, it is up to us to eliminate the advantage. That means we must create limitations on political power, we must write the rules so no one can re-distribute wealth or treat different groups and classes of citizens differently. In other words, we must bind men down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.

I was once (in my childhood) a liberal, then (after much learning) became a conservative. After Milton Friedman convinced me that drugs should be legalized, I realized that, through time and research, I had become a libertarian. You certainly influenced my political positions. You (and Bastiat) say that the state’s sole duty is to protect citizens life, liberty, and property. The only trouble I have with this, as a fundamentalist Christian, is that this would mean legalizing bestiality and similar things. What would you have to say on this?

TO DEMONIZE IS THE FIRST STEP

The news this week is primarily about Donald Trump’s actions during his first week in office. There is little need for commentary except to say that (1) so far, he is following through on several of his most noteworthy campaign promises, and (2) his political opponents are beside themselves trying to figure out ways to undermine his popularity.

It is an axiom of political warfare that it is not wise to assassinate popular opponents except as a last resort. Instead, it is better to demonize them in the public mind so that, when violence finally is used, the public will think it was justified.

There is no better example than what happened to the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas, in 1993. Because the leader of this religious group was known to have weapons that were not registered, the federal government and National Guard laid siege to their compound and killed its leader, David Koresh, along with 82 of his congregation, including women and children.

The public was not outraged by this, because the media had published an endless barrage of ‘reports’ of sexual abuse of children in the compound – reports that, in later months were shown to be without foundation. But the public didn’t know that at the time, and most people thought it was a shame about those children being killed in the attack, but it was merely collateral damage from a justified law-enforcement operation against very evil people.

If you want to understand what is going on from the left in America today, just think of the Branch Davidians. If the elites can sufficiently demonize Donald Trump and his supporters as racists or something equally repugnant, then violence against him personally or against his supporters – perhaps even violence against the system itself – will be viewed as justified.

TARIFF TAX COULD BECOME A WEAPON OF THE RICH

Dear Ed,
Regarding: “President-Elect Donald Trump says he will impose a heavy import tax on products from companies that move out of the US to manufacture their goods. [Regardless … the Constitution places the power of taxation on Congress, not the President.] PBS Newshour 2017 Jan 11.”

True: Congress was given the power to tax (1.8.1, 1.2.3, 1.10.1). However, “law-making” has degenerated into a DELEGATED POWER SYSTEM lacking Constitutional authority. Here’s how law-making works today (from a Lexus article):
 
1. Congress writes general laws (= ACTS). ‘Others’ (not legislators) convert them into STATUTES and then into CODES.

2. The Executive enforces the statutes via his REGULATIONS, aka: “implementation”. Proposed Regs begin their life in The Federal Register before entry into the Code of Regs. Bureaucrats far removed from Congress with zero accountability create the rules that have the force of law. The Constitution does not grant authority to the Executive to “make law”, let alone to his delegates!

3. Executive ADMINISTRATIVE AGENTS (more bureaucrats) enforce the Regs. These agents operate inside agencies, such as Dept. of Treasury, etc.

4. These agencies follow ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES. Generally: US Code TITLE 5 (= APA), specifically: agency MANUALS (e.g., Internal Revenue Manual, etc.). These manuals describe the PROCEDURES to be followed during the ‘enforcement’ process. It’s all about building case evidence and following the rules of administrative ‘due process’ (which is NOT Constitutional due process!). Additionally, other sources of ‘authority’ instruct bureaucrats in these duties (e.g., ‘counsel advice’, etc.).

Under this scheme, President Trump can delegate to his Executive Agents the authority to set the TARIFF LAWS into motion, per the above article. His Agents are at the Department of The Treasury, IRS, etc.

Tax history proves that tariff taxes can be troublesome, being discussed in the 45th Congressional record (1909, 16A Income Tax debates). Let’s hope Prez Trump knows his tax history, and prevents tariff abuses. Otherwise, these new taxes could become merely another weapon for the rich to guarantee their ‘gains, profits and income’ on the backs of us poor-schmuck working-class Americans.
