Pope pursues politics as second career

The Pope made his first visit to the US and, in a stunt that clearly was staged, a five-year old girl slipped through high-level security and interrupted the Pope’s parade. She presented him with a T-shirt and a handwritten letter asking him to help her migrant family – and other illegal aliens – by convincing Congress to open the borders and grant amnesty. The Pope is chasing a myth.

Just about everyone on the planet who is exposed to mainstream news reports is aware that the Pope has aligned himself with the world’s Marxists by saying that global poverty and injustice are the result of capitalism.

However, true capitalism has not existed anywhere in the world for almost a hundred years. Where it once existed, such as the United States, it was quietly and systematically strangled to death by thousands of laws that spoke of social reform, stabilizing the economy, protecting the weak, redistributing wealth, sharing resources, providing social services, welfare, and the greater good for the greater number.

We are told that we live in a capitalist system, but nothing could be further from the truth. We now live in a collectivist system that is almost indistinguishable from the theoretical models for fascism, socialism, and communism. The capitalist shell remains, but it is empty.

FREE-MARKET CAPITALISM VS.
MONOPOLY CAPITALISM

Classical capitalism includes the concept of a free-market, controlled by government only to the extent necessary to insure that agreements are honored. What we have now is what might be called monopoly capitalism in which almost all aspects of the market are controlled by government and in which favored players in the game (those that generously fund political campaigns) obtain government-backed monopolies and, thereby, are protected from competition. However, to call that a form of capitalism is also a trick, because it pulls attention away from the fact that monopoly is the normal condition in all collectivist systems, including socialism, communism, and fascism.

Those who are calling for more government control over the economy and over all human activity in the name of fighting poverty are merely demanding more of the same poison that created the illness in the first place.

This is the cruel trick being played on the rank-and-file Leftists who fill the streets and the ballot boxes, but who at the top is orchestrating this trick? Are all Leftist leaders merely ignorant or misinformed, or are there a few masterminds who know full well what they are doing?

There is no doubt that most politicians are fully aware that “evil capitalism” is a modern myth, but it is a useful myth for their purposes. The question of the day, however, is: in which category does the Pope belong?

It’s a good thing that we do not know the answer to that question, because then we would have to defend our position, which could lead to an acrimonious division within our ranks. Fortunately, it makes no difference if the Pope is simply naive or if he sees himself as a global social engineer. Either way, those of us who know the truth must put all question of religion aside. We must step forward to proclaim that he is chasing a myth and that the consequences of following him in this regard will be devastating to the very people he professes to defend.

Georgia: A former peanut-company executive, Stewart Parnell, was sentenced to 28 years in prison for knowingly selling peanut butter that was tainted with salmonella, which resulted in the deaths of nine people. The sentencing marks the first time a US food producer stood trial on criminal charges in a food-poisoning case. A non-profit organization is attacking the Chipotle fast food company which has gained popularity after switching to GMO-free ingredients in all of its food. The so-called non-profit admits that it serves as a PR firm for corporations that wish to conceal the fact that they are funding attacks against their competitors. Volkswagen has been accused of installing software in 11-million diesel vehicles designed to create false readings on tests for exhaust emissions. US: The Senate suspended the salaries of the heads of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac after it was learned that their pay had been increased from $600,000 to $4 million per year. MADE IN USA IS CHEAPER? 2015 Sep 4 from Trina Seamon
Costco sells Goodyear wiper blades for almost half the price that you will pay on the outside and they are made in the U.S.A. I don’t buy cards at Hallmark anymore. They are made in China and are more expensive! I buy them at Dollar Tree, 50 cents each and made in USA.

Yesterday I was in Wal Mart looking for a wastebasket. I found some made in China for $6.99. I didn’t want to pay that much so I asked the lady if they had any others. She took me to another department and they had some at $2.50 made in USA . They are just as good. Same as a kitchen rug I needed. I had to look, but I found some made in the USA – what a concept – and they were $3.00 cheaper.

My grandson likes Hershey’s candy. I noticed, though, that it is now marked “made in Mexico .” I don’t buy it anymore. My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico …now I have switched to Crest.

This past weekend I was at Kroger . . . I needed 60W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. I was in the light-bulb aisle and right next to the GE brand I normally buy — was an off-brand labeled, “Everyday Value.” I picked up both types of bulbs and compared them: they were the same, except for the price . . .the GE bulbs cost more than the Everyday Value Brand, but the thing that surprised me the most was that that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in – you guessed it – the USA at a company in Cleveland , Ohio .

So, on to the next aisle: Bounce dryer sheets… Yep, you guessed it. Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada . The Everyday Value brand cost less, and was MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday, and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years, at almost half the price.

Stop buying from overseas companies – you’re sending the jobs there. Let’s get with the program and help our fellow Americans create more jobs here in the USA.

The problem with honesty

The problem with honesty is that it seriously reduces the number of party invitations you get.

Most people give lip service to the old adage that honesty is the best policy, but we all have learned that there are times when it can get you into a lot of trouble. If a woman asks her husband if he likes the nightgown she just bought, he better know the difference between an honest answer and the right answer.

I was raised by a wonderful woman who I called Aunt Alice. The family genealogy is clouded, because my father was adopted, so it’s not clear if Auntie was my true aunt or an earth-bound angel who took me into her home and raised me.

Aunt Alice taught me a great deal about balancing honesty and diplomacy. When grading papers for her high school English students, she would never write “This is terrible” in the margin but might write “This needs improvement”. If someone proudly displayed a modern-art painting and asked her opinion, even if it looked like droppings on the bottom of a birdcage, she would say, “My goodness, that is truly remarkable, dear.” In our family, statements like that are called auntieisms.

All of this has come to mind as I contemplate how to deal with a topic in the news this week that requires total honesty but which also is loaded with emotional triggers that could cause some people to become angry. I have concluded that, in this case, the issue is so important that diplomacy must take a back seat to honesty. One can stretch the truth a bit about the nightgown, but if there is a Black Widow spider clinging to the strap, it’s time for total honesty.

All of this is merely a lead-in to the article in this week’s edition with new information about 9/11. To say that it is controversial is a huge understatement. There is no doubt that some people will be angry because they will understand immediately that it challenges the government’s version of what happened that day. The reason for their anger is that they love America and have come to believe that it is unpatriotic to question the government’s story.

OK, I understand that, but look! There’s a Black Widow spider clinging to that story!

I may have questions about certain features of the alternative story revealed in this interview, but total honesty compels me to say that I think the scenario presented by this former airline stewardess could be the missing piece of the 9/11 puzzle. If you ever have wondered about who some of the passengers were on those planes and what happened to them, you should go to the Rebekah Roth interview in the Analysis section and consider what she has to say.

A former Sergeant in the Marine Corps took a new job as a high school teacher. Just before the school year started, he injured his back. He was required to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body. Fortunately, the cast fit under his shirt and wasn’t noticeable.

On the first day of class, he found himself assigned to the toughest students in the school. The smart-aleck punks, having already heard the new teacher was a former Marine, were leery of him, and he knew they would be testing his discipline in the classroom. Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom, he opened the window wide and sat down at his desk. When a strong breeze made his tie flap, he picked up a stapler and stapled the tie to his chest.

CARTOON ON VACCINATIONS

I sometimes get positive email from people with good ideas for cartoons. I haven’t been able to draw them all, but I have thought about them. The idea for this cartoon came from a certain Alex L. I realized it was a good idea worth developing and so I did. A few years ago I drew a cartoon that featured forced inoculations and I was laughed at. But now it has become a law in California, and some presidential candidates such as Ben Carson are openly espousing it. We are being treated like cattle, and we’d better start speaking out against these things before the government decides we are ready for their slaughterhouse.

IS MONEY REALLY CREATED OUT OF NOTHING?

I’m still unclear on that concept? Is it a case of no gold / silver backing our paper currency or does it mean something else? Please help me here?

REPLY FROM GEG: Hello James, the short answer is that, when any of the banks that comprise the Fed make a loan, except under some minor circumstances, they have no money to lend of their own. They simply create it for the specific purpose of lending it. When the loan is paid back, the money goes out of existence again, but the banks have the benefit of collecting interest on it while it exists. That’s interest collected on “nothing”. In truth, however, it is not really nothing. It is worse than that. It is debt. It is the IOU that borrowers gave to the banks in return for the money. So, in reality, the money was created out of debt. That’s it in a nutshell.

Once again, the FBI helped to orchestrate a terrorist plot and then foil it in the nick of time. This one was planned for a 9/11-tribute event in Kansas City, Missouri. The FBI found a mentally unstable and socially isolated person on the Internet who was vulnerable to being enticed into giving advice on how to stage a terrorist attack. The attack initially was suggested by an FBI agent posing as a friend of 20-year Ryne Goldberg, a Florida resident who pretended on the Internet to be a terrorist mastermind living in Australia. Goldberg was asked by his ‘friend’ how best to stage the attack – and, when he gave that advice, he was quickly arrested. A SPANISH Teacher was explaining to her class that, in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. ‘House’ for instance, is feminine: ‘la casa.’ ‘Pencil,’ however, is masculine: ‘el lapiz.’

A student asked, “What gender is ‘computer’?” Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether computer’ should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.

The men’s group decided that ‘computer’ should definitely be of the feminine gender (‘la computadora’), because: 1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic; 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else; 3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for later retrieval; and 4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

The women’s group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine (‘el computador’), because: 1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on; 2. They have a lot of data but still can’t think for themselves; 3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, if you had waited a little longer, you could have had a better model.

IS THE FED ILLEGAL?

Hello Patrea.
The Fed is legal because it was created by a law (The Federal Reserve Act). However, it is unconstitutional because it does what is prohibited in the Constitution (issue bills of credit as money). Another way of looking at its unconstitutionality is that Congress gave the Fed power to issue something other than bullion coins as money, yet Congress, itself, never had that power to delegate.

Now, the plot thickens: The Constitution is supposed to be the highest law of the land. If the word ‘illegal’ is defined as something that violates a law, and if the Constitution is the highest law, then the Fed is illegal at the highest level even though it was created by a law. Ironically, that makes it an illegal law!

Unfortunately, the Constitution does not enforce itself. None of this makes any difference if Congress and the President and the judges and the news media and the teachers and the preachers and the voters do nothing about it.

Science has taken a
“turn toward darkness”

Richard Horton, the Editor-in-Chief of Lancet, a leading British medical journal, says that half of all medical studies are wrong and that medical science “has taken a turn towards darkness.” Scientists have been corrupted by money, conflicts of interest, and an obsession for fashionable trends. A study from the University of Caen, in France, shows that tests to prove the safety of Roundup Ready crops were fraudulent. Rats in the control group were fed the same diet as the test group – and both contained levels of toxins high enough to cause disease. IS THE FED ILLEGAL?

What do you see as illegal about the Fed? Are there (or were there) constitutional rights that were suppose to protect the country from such a system? Thank you for your help in these matters, as question arise, and to call upon you is a great gift.

Hello Patrea.
The Fed is legal because it was created by a law (The Federal Reserve Act). However, it is unconstitutional because it does what is prohibited in the Constitution (issue bills of credit as money). Another way of looking at its unconstitutionality is that Congress gave the Fed power to issue something other than bullion coins as money, yet Congress, itself, never had that power to delegate.

Now, the plot thickens: The Constitution is supposed to be the highest law of the land. If the word ‘illegal’ is defined as something that violates a law, and if the Constitution is the highest law, then the Fed is illegal at the highest level even though it was created by a law. Ironically, that makes it an illegal law!

Unfortunately, the Constitution does not enforce itself. None of this makes any difference if Congress and the President and the judges and the news media and the teachers and the preachers and the voters do nothing about it.

WHO IS RIGHT?

I’ve been trying to explain to my Broker at Merrill Lynch – what I’ve heard about the “banking laws” having been changed. I explained that, if Bank of America goes down – my deposits are the property of the bank. In other words, I am a creditor, and the money is an “unsecured loan” and would be lost (I would be in line behind others, i.e. derivative debts of the bank, etc.). He continues to reference the FDIC, saying my money is “insured” against loss… and that my money is on different (250K) “buckets” so that it is ALL within the FDIC insurance limits.

I’ve read a lot about this – but cannot really get to the BOTTOM of the truth. If Bank of America goes down, will my money, in fact, be used, taken, etc. by the bank to pay it’s debts? Am I still ensured by the FDIC? What is the truth about this? Does it depend on the TYPE of money? (pension vs. normal deposits)?

Hello Jeff. I am afraid that I do not know the answer, either. This matter is in flux. I do know that your understanding is a correct summary of where the banks are headed. That is exactly what they intend to implement. The process is called a ‘bail-in’. However, there probably are legal restraints that yet need to be removed by their friends in Washington, but that could happen overnight when the next economic tsunami hits. In other words, you and your broker both are right. He is right as of now. You will be right when it matters.
