Three babies with microcephaly have been born in the US and, without any evidence, the Zika virus is being blamed. Fear of the virus is prompting athletes and tourists to ban the Olympics this summer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Reporter Jon Rappoport speculates that the Zika virus is a medical scare tactic being used to harm Brazil, a country allied with other BRICS nations that threaten US monetary hegemony. He says that the most recent number of cases of microcephaly in Brazil total 854, but only 11% of those showed any trace of the virus. The Republican Party is threatened by the Libertarian Party (LP) and wants to neutralize it because it is the only alternative to the two-party system that will appear on ballots in all 50 states in the upcoming election. Gary Johnson, the LP presidential nominee, is an establishment politician who supports international interventionism and is pandering to Sanders’ supporters. Johnson and his running mate, William Weld, support the concept that treaties supersede the Constitution as the supreme law of the land and they do not support the right to private property. Weld thinks that only hunting rifles are covered by the Second Amendment. Finally, the LP was made to look very undignified when a candidate for LP chairman did a strip-tease on stage. The US Food and Drug Administration has claimed for decades that marijuana has zero medicinal value, but now it has granted a license to GW Pharmaceuticals to market a synthetic version of cannabis for treating multiple sclerosis.
