Florida: Seddique Mateen, the father of Omar Mateen, the Orlando shooting-event gunman, went to a rally for Hillary Clinton and sat in the audience behind her where he was filmed on camera. Later he spoke with a reporter and voiced his support for Clinton and gun control. He said that he wished his son had joined the military and fought ISIS. When the reporter asked him what he was thinking when Hillary was speaking about the Orlando shooting, he answered: “We were helping. We were cooperating with the federal government, the FBI. That’s what I was thinking.” The scenario is astounding: The man is a Hillary supporter, he believes that gun control is good for America, and he and his son (the shooter) were cooperating with the FBI at the Orlando incident. It doesn’t get any clearer than that. WPTV 2016 Aug 9 (Story) [We suggest you save a copy of his video statement.]
Seddique Mateen had a strange background of attempting to be influential in political movements. He supported the Taliban in Afghanistan and even announced on his own YouTube channel that he was the president-in-exile of Afghanistan. He apparently had tried to meet with State Department officials, but the government says it has no record of that. RT posted 2016 Aug 9 (Story)

Professor Valentina Zharkova of Britain’s Northumbria University is under professional attack after challenging the ‘global warming consensus’. She conducted a study of sunspots, which have a strong effect on Earth’s climate, and reported that our planet may be headed for a mini-Ice Age. The Royal Astronomical Society now is under pressure to withdraw her press release. Investors Business Daily 2016 Aug 11 (Story) (Cached)
The US Drug Enforcement Agency mines Americans’ travel data from airline companies and AMTRAK to identify people who may be carrying large amounts of cash. Under the guise of looking for drug dealers, the DEA has taken cash from people for reasons as benign as having paid cash for their ticket or simply traveling one-way to California. DEA units seized more than $20-million in cash from at least 5,200 people over the past decade, and most of that money was given to local police departments that provided officers to assist the drug agency. The US Department of Health and Human Services has shifted $81 million in funds from other projects to pay drug companies to continue developing vaccines to fight the Zika virus. This is added to $589-million that previously was allocated for Ebola, which also was hyped as a potential epidemic but which never happened. The Obama administration released 5,432 jailed illegal immigrants, some of whom had been accused of sexual assault, terror threats, and drug and gun possession. An audio recording has surfaced proving that US Senator John McCain collaborated with the North Vietnamese by recording a “Tokyo Rose”-style propaganda message that was broadcast on North Vietnamese radio in 1969. Other POW’s who were imprisoned at the same time nicknamed him ‘Songbird’. Even if he made the recording after being tortured, his story about being a hero was not true, and he built his political career on that myth. Next News Network 2016 Aug 10 (Story)

Hong Kong-based bitcoin exchange Bitfinex was hacked, and 119,756 bitcoins, or about $70 million, was stolen, which sent the price of bitcoin plunging by 30%. Bitfinex imposed a bank-style bail-in to absorb the losses, and those who stored bitcoins there lost 36% of their deposits. Bitfinex says it will compensate its users by giving them tokens that may be exchanged for shares later in its parent company. ZeroHedge 2016 Aug 7 (Story) (Cached)
Shahram Amiri, an Iranian nuclear scientist, appeared in a video claiming he had been kidnapped by the CIA and Saudi agents six years ago. Shortly thereafter, another video was posted stating that he had come to the US voluntarily, but missed his son in Iran. He was quickly reunited with his son in Iran, but then disappeared a few weeks later amid rumors he had been imprisoned as a spy. Over the past weekend Amiri was hanged for revealing the country’s top secrets to the enemy. Hillary Clinton may have contributed to his fate, because Amiri’s name was exposed in her unsecured emails, and she referred to him as “our friend”. NY Times 2016 Aug 7 (Story) (Cached)
