The Obama administration has paid 49-million tax dollars to lawyers to sue the federal government. Furthermore, it won’t reveal who the lawyers are. [This is a scam and it works like this:

The government wants to expand power over one more area of human activity, but public opposition makes that politically difficult. So the administration makes ‘sue-and-settle’ agreements with so-called environmentalist groups in which the government pays the groups’ lawyers to sue the government, demanding the things that are unpopular with the public and Congress.

Government attorneys put up a weak defense and quickly agree to settlements that require compliance with most of the demands of the environmentalist groups.

Next, the government proceeds with the unpopular rules and regulations under the pretext of complying with a court order. In some cases, the groups that sponsor the suits are rewarded by large financial payments to further their missions – paid, of course, by taxpayers.
