US: Ben Swann analyses Pizzagate on his local CBS news show in Atlanta. While making it clear that there is no proof that Comet Ping Pong pizza restaurant is operating a child sex ring, there are many facts surrounding the operation and the people associated with it that are hard to explain any other way. Swann is to be congratulated for asking why local police and the FBI have failed to open a public investigation into this matter. US: David Knight reports that Congress has remained silent while the executive branch of government has usurped the power of Congress to make laws. It now is increasingly common for the bureaucracy, such as the EPA, to write rulings that are imposed upon the public as though they were laws. Furthermore, these administrative regulations have no limits on the size of fines that can be imposed and they presume the accused is guilty until proven innocent. Geoff Lawton built a lush garden on ten acres in Jordan, despite the arid land (seven inches of rain per year) and salty soil, 400 meters below sea level. This was accomplished  using ‘permaculture’ and ‘water harvesting’. Permaculture is the technique of selecting and arranging plants to sustain each other without human intervention. Water harvesting is done with contoured swale ditches that trap rain water and allow it to soak into the surrounding landscape. This uses only one-fifth the amount of water normally needed for growing. Fungi beneath the organic mulch repels salt, and decomposition makes salt inert.
