Wikileaks reveals that, while Hillary Clinton was US Secretary of State, she was aware of a highly critical review of the Clinton Foundation made by the Simpson Thacher law firm. The review had been requested by Chelsea Clinton in 2010. The firm concluded that the Clinton Foundation had a rubber-stamp board of directors and that many of its donors had “an expectation of quid pro quo benefits in return for gifts.” Simpson Thacher found that the board, which consisted of insiders loyal solely to Bill and Hillary Clinton, failed to oversee finances and had inherent conflicts of interest. A new John Podesta email revealed by Wikileaks shows that the Clinton Foundation was given a check for a million dollars by the country of Qatar to coincide with Bill Clinton’s birthday. Ami Desai, director of foreign policy for the Clinton Foundation, wrote in 2012 that Qatar “would like to see WJC ‘for five minutes’ in NYC to present $1-million check that Qatar promised for WJC’s birthday in 2011.” The thread also revealed that Qatar put aside $20 million for development aid in Haiti, following the earthquake. The Drudge Report says that Jeff Zucker, the president of CNN (lately called the Clinton News Network because of its unwavering support for Hillary), ordered a total blackout of the story of Danney Williams. Danny is a young man with some African-American heritage who claims to be Bill Clinton’s son and is eager to take a DNA test to prove it. Buddy Young, a former Arkansas State trooper, said that he was paid $400 in the 1990’s to drive Bill Clinton to a house to meet with Williams’ mother who was a prostitute. France: Four police officers were injured by petrol bombs thrown at their cars in a Muslim no-go zone near Paris. French police unions report that there are many no-go zones where police cannot work safely. However, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls insists that ‘no-go’ is too harsh a phrase. In 2011, Chelsea Clinton, who was (and still is) the Vice Chairman of the Clinton Foundation created by her parents, launched an internal investigation of the Foundation’s financial transactions. This was strongly opposed by family loyalists who were (and still are) on the board of directors. Yemen: Saudi Arabia is reported to have conducted an air strike on a funeral home that killed 155 people. The Saudis denied that they were responsible, saying that their military was instructed to avoid that target. The civil war in Yemen that pits the Saudis against the Houthi rebels has killed 10,000 people since it began in March 2015. US: The Department of Homeland Security and the Office of National Intelligence on Election Security issued a joint statement today accusing Russia of attacking the Democratic National Committee and leaking 20,000 emails to the press.
