Three newly announced Trump appointees are a mixed bag. Ret. General Michael Flynn will head the NSA. For Attorney General, Trump tapped Senator Jeff Sessions, who is against immigration amnesty and is a global-warming skeptic, but voted against an anti-torture provision in a national defense bill. Portland, Oregon police arrested 112 violent demonstrators last week, and it was discovered that more than 60% of them were not local residents. Some were even from out of state. An off-duty Philadelphia police officer suffered an orbital fracture of his right eye, and his wife was punched in the face after he tried to break up the beating of pedestrians by a mob of about 50 black teenagers.
