Georgia: A former peanut-company executive, Stewart Parnell, was sentenced to 28 years in prison for knowingly selling peanut butter that was tainted with salmonella, which resulted in the deaths of nine people. The sentencing marks the first time a US food producer stood trial on criminal charges in a food-poisoning case. The so-called non-profit admits that it serves as a PR firm for corporations that wish to conceal the fact that they are funding attacks against their competitors.
