called 'raw' form. The descriptive text is as I received it from our editor,
Cassandra Anderson. It has not been re-worked by me. The text places

This is of course about a much bigger issue - the militant gay rights
agenda.
Aetna among other companies is wading into this debate with a ridiculous
assertion that it's bad for their business in Inidana (see
here)
The hyperbole of Aetna's "the sky will fall unless" letter aside, people are
missing the reality because of the rhetoric; the reality being that when a
person or group demands with threats of fines, or coerces by force of law,
the services of an individual or private business who is not inclined to
freely give such services, that‘s called slavery.
The simple fact of being a customer does not give anyone the right to demand
that a private business do any certain thing. There are plenty of other
business these customers can patronize.
Can anyone imagine this same group demanding that a Muslim chef cater a pig
picking? I expect not.

Private property is discrimination. To “discriminate” is simply to
differentiate one thing from among all others. Discrimination is not only a
basic human right, it is necessary for human survival. Every human being,

Any business which has a "walk-in business" which purports to be "doing
business with the public" has an obligation to serve anyone and everyone who
walks in. Otherwise, they should not be in business. Exceptions to this is
people who are disturbing the peace or otherwise involved in illegal
activity.
Such "laws" are unconstitutional because the First Amendment states that
"Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion".
Though this is thought by amateurs to be a limitation only on what Congress
may do, it has been applied by the Supreme Court to the states. Since a
so-called "Restoration of Religious Freedom Rights" law respects an
establishment, or establishments of religion, it is prohibited. What the
federal law in the First Amendment means is that there can be no law
whatsoever either for or against any religion. None. Nada. It is not the
business of our government to regulate religion. Neither can any religion
use their teachings as a veil to cover illegal acts.
Furthermore, it is clear that the purpose of the law is meant to circumvent
civil rights laws to legalize otherwise illegal discrimination against a
certain class of people, by any and all people who belong to any "religion".
It also gives one cause to wonder, how will a business owner under the law
determine who LGBT people are? By their "gaydar"? Most likely they depend on
their determinations by means of behavior. Behavior is a nebulous standard,
but is a form of freedom of speech, so such laws also violate the
constitutional prohibition against violation of freedom of speech.

I have not seen anywhere in the Indiana news reports where the Pizza shop
manager's clarification of 'service' has been discussed.
There is a huge difference from serving all folks coming into the business
to purchase the store's goods or wares. It is a huge difference for those
businesses that must go into the area to service the purchaser: prime
example - wedding photographers, wedding cake bakers and caterers, massage
therapists...the list could go on. One is actually participating in the
event to be serviced....and that is where the religious objection aspect
comes into play. But I think the LGBT groups know this distinction quite
well. It's just another way of using government to do their dirty work. I
just knew the Indiana legislators would cave on this matter.

Actually I’m caught between freedom to choose (to discriminate) and being
required to treat everyone equally. We all love freedom. It sounds so ideal
and American. So let’s say we stop serving LGBT’s (legalized
discrimination). Actually I can accept LG and Ts. It’s the Bi’s that drive
me crazy. Make up your mind will you! So who is next? Jews? After all, they
did kill Christ. That would be my religious basis for that one. Perhaps
African-Americans; they don’t look like I do.
My personal prejudice is towards “news entertainers,” you know, the ones
that call themselves “journalist.” They surrender to editorial and owner
policy. They’re not giving up their big fat salary for unbiased truthful
reporting. I wouldn’t serve them at all. They’re despicable people. Come to
think of it, bankers stole our money with the help of politicians and
lobbyist. Scoundrels! They would disgrace my establishment. No service for
them either.
Can you see what I mean. Where do I stop? Where will all this stop? Who
wants this discrimination anyway? Christians? I thought Christ was about
loving and caring for one another. When did Christians turn against this
fundamental teaching of Christ? Oh, that’s right – no really – extreme
right. Christ’s teachings were tossed aside when Christians became
Republicans.
Be careful what you wish for. You just might find yourself being
discriminated against by some self-righteous bastard expressing their
religious freedom. WARNING! Don’t trust anyone who pulls sound bites from
the Old Testament to justify war and hatred.

It turns out some Muslim-owned bakeries are no more willing to create
wedding cakes for same-sex ceremonies than their Christian counterparts.

There are scriptural passages that describe same sex activity as
abominations. Homosexuality is oft times influenced, but ofttimes a choice.
This condition is personal and his/her preference is a private matter and
should be denied service. I am Catholic and one that regards homosexuality
an undesirable deviance, but everyone chooses their own path. Should I be
denied service because I am Catholic, or because I deem homosexuality a
deviance?
A company receives a license to do business serving the public and should
have no right to deny service to any member of the public unless there are
actions that disrupt the business or are a threat to members of staff or the
public peace or safety.

water. They forget that California's farmers also feed a very large part of
the rest of the nation.
If farmers' surface water allocations had not been cut in order to redirect

The real problem is population growth in California and the US generally.
Recall Professors David Pimentel and Robert Costanza's 20-year old estimates
that the carrying capacity of the United States is between 150 and 200
million people. Maximum.
Two hundred million was passed sometime in the early 1970s. Three hundred
million is also history. The Census Bureau consistently underestimates true

I recall a scene in the movie “Giant,” where after a scuffle the restaurant
owner places a sign on Rock Hudson, who had attempted physically to defend
his minority stepson. The sign said something to the effect that “We reserve
the right to deny service to anyone.”
That’s the way America was founded and grew—as a free country. An individual
who started and ran a business could decide whom his customers were. That’s
the direction to which America needs to return. It is NOT up to government.
Humanity is spiritually warm and kind. If an individual is denied service by
a business owner who has not progressed far enough down a spiritual path,
he/she can simply take their business elsewhere. And the business owner will
be able to learn and progress. To repeat, government is NOT needed as a
referee!

Several weeks ago I attended a protest against the anti-terrorism bill
presented in the wake of the Ottawa shooting. It was held outside Canada
Place in Edmonton and I was one of about 500 people who were furious that
the Harper government is about to strip away charter rights in the name of
protecting us. Subsequently, I saw television coverage of the numerous
protests across the country and then our Justice minister Peter MacKay spoke
about those protests. He was correct that we are fortunate to live in a
country where we can stage peaceful demonstrations, but I was incensed when
he said “the majority of Canadians support Bill C51.” I suspect that the
vast majority of Canadians are far too busy living their lives to have even
noticed that this outrageous bill is being considered.
I am writing this letter to the paper in the hope that it will alert the
readers and inspire them to pick up the phone and also write to our members
of parliament and the justice minister to let them know that we value our
rights and have no desire to give them up so that the secret police can do
outrageous things. The police already have sufficient power to handle any
situation. Benjamin Franklin warned us in 1759 when he stated: “Those that
would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve
neither liberty nor safety.” Our chances of being killed by a terrorist are
so slim, being struck by lightning is far greater. So why are they using
this excuse to strip us of vital liberties that are the very essence of
being Canadian?
A brief review of history reveals that the National Socialist government of
Germany introduced legislation frighteningly similar to Bill C51. They used
the burning of the Reichstag as justification for the legislation which was
sold to the electorate as a necessary step to protect the German people from
the terrorists. As we all know, the Gestapo did far more damage to the
German people than any terrorist could possibly have done. Big and powerful
government is far more dangerous to the people than any terrorists. Since
1900 more than 260 million people have been murdered by their own
governments. More people than have died in all the wars of modern history
combined. You may find this hard to believe, but a little research on the
subject of “democide” will reveal the gory details. My point is that if you
take away individual rights from Canadians and give draconian powers to
secret police, it is a recipe for the termination of the Canada that has
been so wonderful. This legislation is nothing short of an invitation for
criminal activities to be carried out by secret police. We will be inviting
false flag terrorist events to justify even greater funding for a hellish
police state.
Our members of parliament have the responsibility of deciding the future for
all Canadians. If I am correct in my assessment of where this bill will take
us, we are either going to have to be compliant slaves who are too
frightened to express our opinions, or mere statistics of state
incarceration, torture and execution? We must speak up while we still can.

the situation is alarming. We have SO many zombies ( Bob Hope described
zombies well, in “the Ghost breakers “ ) who are citizens of this nation.
They spend their lives watching reality TV shows, playing video games, and
watching (worst of all ) the evening network news.
Just as alarming is the latest statistic that 71% of all eligible Americans
cannot pass standard military testing. I assume this is both mental AND
physical testing. Not only do I see this as a failure of our education
system, today, but our American society in general. THis leads me to believe
that most people would not survive a civil war or political insurrection.

Regarding the reader who says that Israel was attacked in 1967. I think [not
sure] that Israel attacked, beginning with Egypt where the Egyptian air
force was caught on the ground.
Jordan did attack first. My memory is that the Israelis faked being an
Egyptian radio channel beamed at Jordan. The fake-Egyptians announced that
they had defeated the Israelis, urging Jordan to pile on. Jordan shouldn't
have taken the bait, of course. But they did. Israel was ready and captured
the West Bank.
Allegedly, Israel's fakery of being an Egyptian radio channel was documented
by the USS Liberty, sitting off-shore of Gaza. That is one of several
allegation that would account for the Israeli's attack on the USS Liberty on
June 8, 1967.
Ron Kukal, copied on this email, is a survivor of the attack on the USS

Dear Mr. Griffin;
I write you to provide my views on the Indiana Religious Freedom Act.
Obviously, the constitutional aspects of the 1964 Civil Rights Act were a
remedy to a grave injustice and historical evil: Jim Crow laws. The vast
majority of the Civil Rights Act took power away from oppressive state and
municipal governments which restricted citizen's rights and denied
individual liberty. Yet Title II and Title VII have proven to be
over-reaches. As you well know, at the time of the bill's passage, the
libertarian wing of the Republican Party (led by Barry Goldwater) accurately
predicted this current state of affairs.
The call here is not to repeal the entire law, just the bad parts. Titles II
and VII do exactly the opposite of the supposed intention of the bill and
granted vast new powers to the government over private property and
individual's right to free association. I think it is time to debate the
productiveness of Titles II and VII and allow true freedom of choice &
encourage truly free markets.
Jim Crow laws weren't a product of the free market as many claim. They
ultimately were a result of the legislative act of individual states
imposing racial discrimination by the threat of criminal prosecution. For
that reason alone, Jim Crow laws were a direct violation of the 14th
Amendment and the Federal Government was entirely justified in dismantling
such laws.
A truly free market could ultimately solve this current dilemma. Why would
any reasonable employer refuse to hire a more qualified applicant because of
race? But if an employer did so, this employer thus would ultimately lose to
competitors who do see fit to hire the best person for the job, regardless
of race, creed or sexual orientation. The same logic applies to business
services. Any business that turns away customers is creating a business
opportunity for competing business.
As long as governments are prohibited from enforcing segregation,
restaurants who choose to discriminate will lose to competitors who choose
to serve everybody. The result will be a win-win scenario: a war of the
pizzerias wooing potentially new customers. Is the progressive left not
truly "pro-choice?"
The Civil Rights Act’s employment mandates and the reclassification of
private property as "public accommodation" were then and now socialistic in
goal and have ultimately led to the Orwellian classification of thought
crimes that the progressive fundamentalist left now supports.
My primary criticism of the bill is that it creates yet another favored
political class: religious business owners to the exclusion of non-religious
business owners. All businesses should enjoy such freedoms, regardless of
religious affiliation.
I appreciate this opportunity to correspond with you. I certainly wish to
thank you and your staff for the effort that is put into maintaining
Unfiltered News. I look forward to pursuing your site to catch any relevant
news that I may have missed from the mainstream media. I have been a big fan
