An old Italian gent lived alone in New Jersey.
He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:

"Dear Vincent, I am feeling pretty sad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days. Love, Papa."

A few days later he received a letter from his son. "Dear Papa, Don't dig up that garden. That's where the bodies are buried. Love, Vinnie."

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.

That same day the old man received another letter from his son. "Dear Papa, Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I could do under the circumstances. Love you, Vinnie."

THIS IS BEST PERFORMANCE?

I couldn't help but hear that the Australian Federal Treasurer Mr. Wayne Swan has been awarded the Euromoney Magazine Award for Best Finance Minister of 2011. Congratulations to him. May I also take a moment to congratulate some former Euromony award winners:

Best Investment Bank 2006 - Lehman Brothers (bankrupted in 2007). Best Equity House 2006 - Morgan Stanley (bailed out in 2007). Best At-risk Management 2006 - Bear Sterns (bankrupted in 2007). Best at Investor Services 2006 - City-Group (bailed out in 2007). I wonder how Euromoney Magazine judges "best performance?"

When the Rudd Government came to office in 2007, Treasury debt was was $11 billion. By the time the Gillard Government was "elected" in 2010, the T-Notes on issue had risen to $152 billion. Since then, T-notes on issue have risen to $204 billion, the highest ever level of bebt held by the Australian government on behalf of taxpayers. The rate of borrowing over the past year has been $1 billion per week. Put more simply, that's $142 million PER DAY

If that's "best" performance, I wonder what is "worst" performance?

PREGNANT WOMEN NOT FORCED TO HAVE ABORTIONS IN CHINA

I have written to you before regarding access to video and to your unfiltered news while I am in China. The internet censorship here drives me crazy but it is not my country so have to accept the situation.

My reason for writing on this occasion relates to your article regarding the forced abortions in China. I am not sure where you are getting this information but I believe that it is just propaganda. I have friends all over China and can assure you that I have never seen or heard of this ever happening. I know many Chinese personally that have given birth to two and three children. There seems to definitely be a financial penalty for anyone having more than one child but the government tracking people down and forcing abortions is ludicrous.

Overall there is far more freedom in China than there currently is in the USA and in my home of Australia. Western governments continue, I am sure, to bleat propaganda about China to justify taking more freedom from the people in the West.

The standard of living here in China continues to grow and what I see firsthand is that there are two important rules. 1) don’t criticize the government. 2) Don’t hurt anybody. Other than that, enjoy your life. Don’t get me wrong as I am not advocating communism but the only thing communist in China is that the average person does not get to vote but when you consider the blatant corruption and manipulation of the voting system in the USA it becomes a mute point.

China is certainly not stupid, and I am sure they are sitting back waiting for the implosion of the west. They control their own currency and encourage industry and don’t directly tax the average worker and they certainly to my knowledge don’t hunt pregnant women down and abort them forcefully.

While I am grateful for the Unfiltered News letter and all the work you have put into this fight. I feel that I need to disagree with you about the Wall Street deal. Yes these groups that started it may be socialists but if the founding fathers waited for Jefferson and Hamilton to get on the same page we'd still be a British Colony. In my humble opinion I believe that those of us who are aware and awake should go out there and represent our side of things. Maybe we can start educating some of the protesters on what freedom and liberty really is as opposed to what they think it is (redistribution of wealth). At any rate just my two cents thank you for all the hard work you put in!
