MILITARY DUTY VS. ENTITLEMENTS

The job of the active-duty military and the veterans of America is to
“uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies both foreign
and domestic”. What will veterans do in the coming months? Will they defend
their own “entitlements” or will they defend their community and Nation from
the below wicked encroachments?
What American citizens should remember is that the U.S. Constitution is a
3-party contract between:
1. The federal government,
2. The sovereign state governments, and
3. The people.
The relevant wording is found in the 10th Amendment (U.S. Constitution) and
is restrictive of the federal powers, to wit: The Powers NOT DELEGATED to
the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States,
ARE RESERVED TO the States respectively, or the PEOPLE.
The federal government is violating those powers and restrictions,
especially the "monetary powers," having delegated the issue of coin and
currency to the Federal Reserve Bank in 1913, and then seizing the "money of
account of these united States" (the gold) in 1933, and now having
transferred eminent domain powers over all property in the United States to
China (2011), our new lender of last resort. We are all debtors to foreign
powers and it is getting worse. In the meantime, the 11 counties surrounding
Washington DC are the highest paid in the country.

THE GREAT QUAKE IN NEW ZEALAND PREDICTED

Dear Mr Griffin,
By now most of your readers will have heard about the devastating earthquake
last week (Feb 22) in Christchurch New Zealand. What is significant about
this event is that a prediction was made eight days earlier that a major
earthquake was likely within a ten day window. The man who made the
prediction is a New Zealander by the name of Ken Ring, who for many years
has been predicting the weather, up to a year in advance and often far more
accurately than our Met service.
This time, Ken posted on his
website an
earthquake prediction based on the phase of the moon, alignment of planets
with the sun and a coronal discharge from the sun. And, sadly he has been
proved right. On his weblog there are many people who are saying they are
alive and well thanks to the fact they listened.
I am no geologist or astronomer but Ken's hypothesis and background research
sound completely plausible, not to mention logical. Our own geologists are
scratching their academic heads while stuck in their statistical models and
drum readings after the fact, and come nowhere near to explaining this
unusual series of quakes and aftershocks (over 4000) in the Canterbury
region since the main quake on September 4th 2010. That first event led to
quite serious damage in the central business district, but no loss of life,
whereas last weeks event, being shallower and closer to the CBD and eastern

Let me see if I got this right. If you cross the North Korean border
illegally you get 12 years at hard labor. If you cross the Iranian border
illegally, you are detained indefinitely. If you cross the Afghan border
illegally, you get shot. If you cross te North Korean border illegally you
get 12 years hard labor. If you cross the Saudi Arabian border illegally you
will be jailed. If you cross the Chinese border illegally you you may never
be heard from again. If you cross the Venezuelan border illegally you will
be braded a spy and your fate will be sealed. If you cross the Cuban border
illegally you will be thrown into political prison to rot. ... BUT
If you cross the U.S. border illegally, you get: a job, driver's license,
social security card, food stamps, credit cards, subsidized rent or a loan
to buy a house, free education, free health care, a lobbyist in Washington,
billions of dollars worth of public documents printed in your language, and
the right to carry your country's flag while you protest that you don't get
enough respect.
I just wanted to make sure I have a firm grasp of the situation -- before we
vote all the slime-bag politicians out of office in November who allowed
this to happen.

After reading last week's Unfiltered News, everything, EVERYTHING in me is
screaming ‘THIS IS IT PEOPLE. THE TIME HAS COME.’ Whether it’s tomorrow or
next month, we all will be required to take a stand, one way or the other,
for our future. Comply, or dissent. That’s it. This side or that side.
My imagination is FILLED with potential horrors, and I can only pray and
hope that my resolve holds. Life must be lived with personal integrity, or
it’s only survival without any purpose. I refuse to become a useless eater.

A SUCCESS STORY FOR PROJECT CITY HALL

Dear Mr. Griffin:
I must 100% heartily agree with, and endorse, the launch of "Project City
Hall"! I came to the US, from Canada, 26 years ago (at the age of 38). My
wife and I and our two sons became naturalized US citizens in 1991. In 1995,
wanting to get more involved in my community, I volunteered for a position
on our city's Recreation Commission.
Within the first year, I became the chairman of this group. In 1997, I ran
for, and was elected to, the City Council. I served three terms on the City
Council, and one term as the Mayor of the City. I was then elected to serve
in the State Legislature of Maine. I served three terms in the Legislature,
the last of which I was the Assistant House Minority (R) Leader.
You are absolutely correct. The very best place to start to make necessary
changes in our government is right there: at the City Hall level! I am so
excited to hear more about the Project and how it is being received by
people across the nation. I am hopeful that my experience in the world of
elected office (elected to public office six times, and chosen by peers for
leadership roles twice) will be useful to someone somewhere who wants to
"make a difference".

been involved with the liberty movement since early 2008. I helped start a
Young Americans for Liberty chapter at my former campus. I also was selected
to attend their first ever YAL National Convention. I was the lead delegate
to represent Minnesota at the Continental Congress 2009, and I was the
Finance Director for Adam Kokesh's congressional campaign. I have pledged
with the Year of Youth to run for office (state house) in 2012 and I am very

A STRANGER IN OUR HOUSE

A few months before I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our
small Tennessee town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this
enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The
stranger was quickly accepted and was around to welcome me into the world a
few months later.
As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind,
he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom
taught me the word of God, and Dad taught me to obey it. But the stranger?
He was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with
adventures, mysteries and comedies. If I wanted to know anything about
politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past,
understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took
my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made
me cry.
The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn't seem to mind.
Sometimes Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each
other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to her room and read
her books. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)
Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger
never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed
in our home ... not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our long-time
visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and
made my dad squirm and my mother blush.
My Dad was a teetotaler who didn't permit alcohol in the home, not even for
cooking. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He
made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished. He talked
freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant,
sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing. I now know that my early
concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time
after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked
... and NEVER asked to leave.
More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our
family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was
at first. Still, if you were to walk into my parents' den today you would
still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to
him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name? We just call him TV.
