SHOULD LAND BE PRIVATELY OWNED OR BE PUBLIC PROPERTY?

Hi Mr. Griffin.
I have an ongoing debate regarding land ownership. Should land be excluded from private property? Is that consistant with the Freedom Force Creed of Freedom?

To me this is clear cut. Land IS property, and my property can only be sold by me if there is mutual consent. It is not for the government (or anyone else) to set the price, nor can they make me set a price should I refuse to sell. Because a price in a free world can only be set by the seller and buyer when there is a mutual consent, not by coercion.

This is an important issue in the more general aspect of things. Some sort of answer to this question could prove very useful further down the road when I need to explain this again and again for newly awakened individuals.

Hello Fredrik.
The Freedom Force position is that personal property includes land ownership. We could get all tangled up in the question of whether or not humans can ever really "own" a part of the planet, but that gets pretty philosophical. In the real world, we must deal with territorial instinct. Most mammals, including homo sapiens, have an innate desire for exclusive access to physical locations, especially if they are useful for food or shelter, because those are essential for survival. Humans have a built-in sense of justice that makes it feel "right" to have exclusive access to land if we are the first to claim it (and successfully defend it from other claimants), or if we exchanged something of comparable value for it, or if we received it as a gift from someone who met either of the first two conditions. In all cultures throughout history that have enjoyed flourishing economies and high levels of personal freedom, this territorial instinct has been honored as a positive force.

It is true that this instinct sometimes leads to theft and, when applied to political groupings, can become justification for wars of aggression for territorial acquisition. However, denying the right of private property would not solve either of those problems. The instinct would remain, thieves still would steal, and armies still would invade each other's territories to acquire more so-called "public property" for their rulers to administer.

If land were to be public rather than private, we soon would be facing the sticky problem of deciding who is going to administer it and what rules must be followed. Once that door is opened, the path leads straight to political corruption and collectivism.

Public ownership of all land is contrary to one of the basic concepts in The Creed of Freedom, which is: "The proper function of the state is to protect the lives, liberty, and property of its citizens, nothing more." Only in those rare instances where it can be shown beyond question that state ownership of land can serve this function (such as owning forts and military bases or possibly a few administrative office buildings) would it be acceptable. It would be nonsensical to claim that the state must own all land to protect the property rights of its citizens.

Land is one of the most important types of personal property and is a foundation for independence and freedom.

THE PIECES OF THE PUZZLE FINALLY ARE IN PLACE

Mr. Griffin:
I wish to thank you for opening my eyes with your book "The Creature From Jekyll Island". For many years I have wanted to "fight the good fight" against what was wrong. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be wrong kept changing!! First it was communism, then the wall fell, Iran kidnapped our hostages, they were released, Lebanese extremists bomb and kill our marines, Muammar Gadafi is manufacturing chemical weapons, then we come to Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden and now Iran . I did not see the smoke and mirrors and red flags on my own.
I now know what "tunnel vision" really means.

Upon reading your book, the veil was lifted and all these pieces of the puzzle that I kept trying to fit together fell into place. As the old hymn "Amazing Grace" says, " I was blind , but now I see!!" Upon the realization on what really is the problem I got MAD!! I own a small military surplus business and when I realized that my late father, ( a CWO-4 in the Navy who served WWII and Korea), and all the other veterans, not to mention the ones who did not make it home, had sacrificed , died, or lost appendages for someone's profit, to make "the elite" wealthy, I grew even angrier, I wanted to fight!!

Finally, I can "go to war". I can fight the good fight, and being knowledgeable I can win. I have started small. A letter to the editor of the local paper . I tell everyone about the book. I even went down to Barnes and Noble and bought copies I carry in my store that I sell at cost!! ( they are hard to keep on the shelf). I explain to people that the Citibank bailout was us being taxed and the unseen tax to allow Citibank to keep the interest, their profits!!

The results have been astounding!! More than 10 people I know have .bought and read the book, while others have at least listened to the CD. They now understand what is going on. I am creating a small army that wishes to abolish the Federal Reserve and back our currency with something of intrinsic value!! All we needed was a voice to carry our message in the political arena.

Then a miracle happened!! I went to hear Chelene Nightingale. I listened with skepticism at first, because of all the flip flops I've seen before. I found a TRUE PATRIOT, a hero of The People, someone to put your faith in, that knows what right and wrong is, and stands up for it!! Besides telling people about your book, getting Chelene elected is my number one goal!!

In closing, I wish to say that I had given up hope for this country.
I had replaced with resolve. I had put together a food storage, survival gear, and solar powered my home in event of a long term power outage (still prudent moves in my eyes). But, reading your book gave me an enemy to fight,. If we are going to "spread the wealth" lets take it from Citibank, Chase Bank and the others who have profited so long on tax payers backs. Lets get Chelene and others like her elected to ensure that we can take this nation back. I understand I will not see full recovery in my generation. But, I owe it to the youth of this country not to saddle them with my generation's debt!!

WHY DOES NEW MONEY DILUTE OLD MONEY?

Hi, Mr. Griffin. How are you? I just started reading your outstanding book, "The Creature From Jekyll Island: A Second Look At The Federal Reserve". I love it so far. I'm just about finished with Chapter Two, but I'm very confused about something. You mention that when new money enters into the economy, it dilutes the value of all money. I don't understand this. It doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Why in the world would newly created money dilute the value of already existing money? Could you please explain to me how this is? Because I just don't get it.

Hello Sean.
It's quite simple. Imagine that we are playing a game of Monopoly, and each of us has $20,000 in game money. We all want to acquire as much property as possible, but our ability to do so is limited by the amount of money we have in relation to the amount held by others. If there are four of us playing, there is $80,000 in total money, and each of us has claim to one-fourth of that, so our bidding power can be stated as equal to one-fourth the money supply.

If someone discovers another box of Monopoly in the closet and we agree to divide it up equally and add the new-found currency to the game, we suddenly would have twice the amount of money. Whoopee! But, alas, all other players also would have the same windfall, so each of us still would have only one-fourth the total. The prices of Marvin's Gardens and The Boardwalk would quickly double because players would have twice as much cash to bid for them; but, in the end, nothing really would change except the prices. Players still would be bidding with other layers on the same competitive basis as before, and the same player likely would end up as the winner.

Real life is like that except that the new money is never evenly distributed among all players equally. It enters the game through the hands of favored players: those within or close to government and banking. Those individuals benefit immensely because they have the increased supply while others still are making do with the smaller supply. Eventually, however, the new money trickles throughout the economy and even those at the end of the line find that they have more of it. By then, however, prices already have risen to accommodate the increased supply, so the average citizen at the end of the line does not benefit. The result is a re-distribution of wealth from the lower and middle class to the politically favored class. I hope this clarifies the process.

WHAT'S BEHIND THE WAR AGAINST RAW MILK?

Small Los Angeles farm is raided by 20 agents for ... well, it has something to do with producing goat milk for her chickens and pigs. She is convinced she is not really the target but something much more important. [We agree. Can you figure out what it is?]

Brucellosis: Could this be the reason that such extraordinary measures are being taken against the folks who want to sell raw milk or soft cheeses? On the surface it looks as though our leaders are simply protecting us by eliminating this bacteria from our food supply. Could there be an another, less obvious reason why our protectors wish to prevent us from ingesting brucellosis laden milk or cheese? Perhaps there is another motive here, one which my not be in our own best interests?

Brucella is said to one of the components of ‘chemtrails’. This weaponized, crystallized brucella toxin is said to be carried by many people worldwide. The toxin is activated in the body when some ‘trauma’ occurs, at that point it starts to cause symptoms. The trauma trigger might be an accident, surgery, a viral illness, too much strenuous exercise, stress, or a vaccination.

The crystallized brucella toxin is not a bacteria or a virus. It is undetectable by medical tests, hence its victims are too often sent home from their doctor’s office with no effective treatment and told “it must be in your head”. They are sometimes given anti-depressant prescription drugs.

Don Scott recounts two promising ‘remedies’: one is to increase the blood volume which he said helps. The second is to inject killed brucellosis bacteria over weeks. Don Scott says that in the process the damaging ‘crystallized’ brucella toxin will also be eliminated. The improvement for this method is dramatic.

Now, suppose a person is exposed to live brucellosis bacteria, say by ingesting contaminated milk or soft cheese, what will happen? Would the brucella toxin be eliminated? How would one then get rid of the chronic brucellosis? Would our leaders be pleased or would they move to block the sale of raw milk? I wonder...

EDUCATION A PROPER FUNCTION OF GOVERNMENT?

Just a quick question, I know you’re a busy man. How do you feel about public education? I believe without an education, a person in this day and age would not be able to pursue life, liberty, or happiness. They would simply be taken advantage of by the elaborate constructs that are already in place, and by one means or another, deprived of their fundamental rights. Is an education therefore a fundamental protection that should be afforded by government? School vouchers? What do you think?

Hello Aaron.
There is no question that education is extremely important if one hopes to achieve optimum freedom and life fulfillment. It is for that reason that separation of school and state is essential. The state must never be entrusted with so precious a jewel. The history of government education speaks volumes in support of that conclusion. I do not trust politicians to administer any aspect of the process, not even something so seemingly "sensible" as a voucher system. It is the nature of the political beast to use any opening, no matter how small, to drive a wedge of intervention and control.

Private schools are what built America and private schools are what could save America. If citizens were relieved of the crushing tax burden of the present system, there would be plenty of money to operate a far superior one, and it is my firm belief that no student would be turned away because of inability to pay. Scholarships funded by private donors would be as natural as dropping money in the plate at church.

A private school system would produce a higher level of education at less cost. The only things we might lose are school sports arenas, driving classes, sex indoctrination, and fleets of cross-town busses - to say nothing of hate-America history books and collectivist indoctrination.

As you can see, I do not favor even the slightest compromise with the Devil.
