WHEN EGG CARTONS SAY THE EGGS WERE LAID BY "FREE-RANGE" HENS, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

We got into an animated discussion at our house last week when I asked exactly what it meant when an egg carton says the eggs were laid by "free-range" chickens. That phrase conjures up an image of my uncle's farm in Ohio back in the 1940s with chickens rambling all over the barnyard and, occasionally, into the fields – even across the road. Well, according to Jo Hartley

There are several factors that make this possible:

(1) High overhead expenses for sophisticated accounting systems;
(2) Plush facilities and advertising to create the image of stability;
(3) High salaries for top executives;
(4) Bad loans that must be written off the books.

The last factor is the most important. It must be remembered that, even though banks create money when they make loans, they un-create it when loans are repaid or if they are written off as bad debts. One of the characteristics of fiat money is that it is constantly being created and extinguished at the same time. In times of economic stability or growth, the amount of new money being loaned into existence is always equal to or greater than the amount of old money going out of existence. In times of economic downturn, when banks must write off a large share of their portfolios as bad loans or "toxic assets," the amount of money going out of existence is greater – often much greater – than new money being loaned into existence. This is when the moment of truth arrives, because all of those bad loans now literally must be paid off from the hard assets of the banks and, in most cases, they have not set aside anywhere near a sufficient contingency fund to cover the losses. Bankruptcy is the result.

Here is another way of looking at the process. When banks create money, it appears on their accounting ledgers as both an asset and a liability. It's an asset because someone owes it to them and it's a liability because, if they are not repaid, they have to pay it themselves. Simply writing off both assets and liabilities as a bookkeeping entry is not sufficient, because that would leave the money in circulation without any way for it to be removed from the money supply. Eventually, we may come to a point where letting the money supply grow without any requirement for redemption actually could be instituted as the banking system struggles to survive; but, in the meantime, the system requires all money to be backed by debt. Therefore, if debt is eliminated, either by repayment or write-off, banks are required to remove the amount of that debt from their cash assets so it can be removed from circulation. When they run out of cash assets to do that, it's bailout time.

IS PROJECT RED PILL THE WRONG COLOR?

The idea of breaking free of the Matrix – the illusory control grid – is a noble one, but the use of the color red for the pill of freedom is another example of a world upside-down and backward and should be discarded as the symbol for this Freedom Force initiative.

In the scale of chakras, red is the lowest – associated with sexual power and baser desires. Blue on the other hand is one of the highest colors and associated with spiritual liberation and vision. Rothschild literally means red shield and is the color of their family crest – and I would suggest historically the color of ‘collectivism’ on this planet.

I don’t know if the author of the Matrix was part of the Rothschild’s ‘Futurist Society’ like so many others (Aldous Huxley, Bertrand Russell, Ayn Rand, etc), but choosing red as the color of liberation raises a big ‘red’ flag.

GEG'S REPLY:
It is true that the color red has esoteric and symbolic meaning in psychology and occult literature, but 99% of the population is not aware of that. We are faced with the choice of accepting the "red pill" metaphor as it is or finding something else that can equally convey the message. Judging by the overwhelming response we have had to the project, (more than 6,000 DVDs ordered in the first week), it would be hard to beat this theme.

We do not have to be intimidated by collectivists, occultists, and futurists into giving them an exclusive right to words or colors or symbols. We are free men with minds and wills of our own, and we are not afraid to use any words with the meanings that we choose to put to them. So long as everyone understands what our meanings, motives, and objectives are, I believe we should use any phrase that helps in the battle for freedom, and to hell with what the enemy does.

I appreciate your concern over the correct approach for Freedom Force initiatives. I hope you will accept my personal invitation to join with us. Thanks for writing.

The standard of justice and private property rights that America is based on cannot support collectivism. Collectivism cannot support influxes of incentivized collectivists (tax eaters). ...But collectivization destroys ANY system! The answer is to eliminate the collectivism, not the influx of new individuals (individuals who will operate as incentivized individualists in an individualist system, and incentivized collectivists in a collectivist system). No welfare state can survive. If illegals pouring into our welfare state hasten its destruction, they actually do us a favor: ask: "Do we want a prolonged depression, or a speedy crash?" In the "prolonged failure" scenario, the police state might survive into an era when it gains powerful computational tools of absolute control over the individual: at that time, the welfare state results in democide -- a terrifying reality! Might it not be better to reap what we've sown --a failing socialist state-- sooner? A complete failure's ashes can be built upon, but a burgeoning "big brother" cannot. To that end, I welcome illegal immigrants to our current system, and I preach the message that they are not at any fault, so long as they do not support welfare statism.

The illegals didn't vote for collectivism, year after year, since 1913. But they can and will end it, ...catastrophically. I say, "more power to them!" Let's stop pretending we have a constitutional government, and solely consider strategies toward creating a government that protects individual rights. "Rewinding the clock" cannot work: America was sold to a central bank in 1913. Perhaps we cannot go back to Coolidge's America, but we can reinstate individual freedom in its fundamental form.

We can blame illegal immigrants for the fact that the clock cannot be turned back, or we can put the blame squarely where it belongs: on US voters who ignored the birth of the Libertarian political alternative in 1971. If we blame the illegals for our problems, the only thing we will succeed in doing is losing them as our allies.
