MY NEIGHBOR Woody said he had a blast on Christmas. As soon as he finished his first cup of coffee, he grabbed a notepad and hopped in his car. Within 90 minutes, he'd jotted down seven addresses where smoke was rising from fireplace chimneys.

He did a lot better than his brother, Asher, who lives a few miles away. It took him four hours and a half-tank of gas to identify three suspects. "And one of those was just a guy smoking a turkey, so that didn't count," Woody said. "You can't bust people for cooking outdoors, although we both hope that rule is changed."

GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE IS BOUND TO FAIL

The post office was bound to fail due to electronic mail.  Who mails Greetings or payments any more? Social security was bound to fail, as congress spends the surplus Premiums.  If any insurance company did that, they wouldn't be able to sustain it either.  Realize that Ron paul introduced HR 219, which would prohibit congress from spending the baby boomer surplus for other purposes, but both major political parties are happy to spend that money, and the progressive income tax, as well as all the money they can print and borrow.

Medicare is a way for the American people to be a "self-insured group". I've worked for 2 employers, who were self-insured.  My employers collected the premiums and paid the claims and provided the best quality of major medical coverage. I have  no hang-ups about who collects my premiums and pays my claims.  The reason that health care costs are so high is that the medical industrial complex is making cancer patients sicker and killing harmless viruses with poisons... Such as the use of AZT to treat the harmless HIV virus.

No matter who provides insurance, the gov't or the insurance companies, we need to tell congress to pass the legislation that Ron Paul has introDuced...  HR 3394, 3395 & 3396, which pertain to alternative health free speech.  Imagine, our Congress has to vote on whether or not to allow our free speech guarantees!!

I just had to write you about the statements made about Glenn Beck. I have heard him many times and if this is a statement he made, I would have to believe it was tongue in cheek. Although, with the thugs in the White House, many have given up on trying to get those records uncovered. Laws and "right" mean nothing to these Chicago thugs. Glenn Beck is very concerned about this administration and this country and the way we are headed. As "Walt & Cindy" emphasized in their letter to AARP, the organization is nothing more than an insurance 'pimp' with hidden agendas. Eleven years ago when I turned 50 AARP sent me an application. They made me feel as though I was joining a club full of like minded members. As with most memberships and organizations I was entitled to a monthly magazine. What I started reading in the magazines became disturbing. First was the snowball of left leaning articles. This was only a suspicion. When they claimed a draft dodging former prize fighter as "Athlete of the Century" I knew I would not renew.

But the constant bombarding of various insurances at supposed discounts ( which were NOT competitive ) finally got me to mark all AARP future mailings, "Refused-return to sender". About every 3 years I will get "something" in the mail from AARP which I return in the same manner as previously stated. Wise up, "Boomers", AARP is a bad club to join. If you need various types of insurance you will do much better to shop on your own and not fund a far left liberal organization at the same time.

Even if Obama's health care reform bill becomes law, mandating that all Americans buy health insurance policies for a failed system of "sick care", I will refuse to comply. I've read the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights, and nowhere in that document do I find that the federal government has the power to force consumers to purchase for-profit insurance products from private companies.

The very basis of the health care reform bill is, at its core, unconstitutional. If this mandate is allowed to stand, it sets a dangerous precedent for the U.S. government to require us to purchase other products and services from whatever industries it chooses to support. What's next? Will the government pass a law forcing us to buy pharmaceuticals at thousands of dollars a year? Kennedy International Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a slide-rule and a calculator.. To make it clear, Governism is the phenomenon in which what used to mean the election of a group of Public SERVANTS as a means for managing groups of humans (countries), has now become the Ruling Elite Ameba which grows and grows and is FEEDING on those it was supposed to serve. And those composing it have morphed from Public SERVANTS to DIGNITARIES and YOUR HONORS…. a super privileged class which does nothing else than grow the volume of itself and the minions it constantly acquires, in order to insure that they will not lack the power to manage the Sheep under them.

Sounds revolting? Suspend disbelief and analyze the issue without passion. We are duped in believing that we elect but we do not. The elected preserve the Agenda. This is a total prostitution of the democracy that sprung in Athens in which the elected officials did not have the immunity they have now. Themistocles was exiled for being corrupt after he defeated the Persians and saved the country . We now must BOW to our Elected and Non Elected OFFICIALS who have become Lords or Barons. WORTHY CRITIQUE OF ARTICLE PREDICTING FOOD SHORTAGE IN 2010

Dear Mr. Griffin,
I read Unfiltered News because I think it’s a good selection of important information often not covered by MSM but without the lunatics’ articles that have no fundamental value and are a big waste of time. One article that falls into this category is the one you titled “Analyst predicts 2010 food shortage in the U.S., leading to financial disintegration.”

1. Please read the “analysis” carefully (actually don’t as you’ll waste your precious time): although a significant part of the data is objective and comes from relevant sources, the author reaches conclusions that are hard to link without “leaps of faith”;

2. In the article, the author can’t make up his mind on China, forecasting its demise at one point and praising its inevitable raise to superpower at another point;

3. Among the other scaremongering visions, he forecasts the disappearance (as in value = 0) of the US Dollar in 2010: as you and I know very well (together with anyone with some brain cells left), this can’t happen overnight. In my humble opinion, this is just a sign of an amateurish view of the world or of cheap trick to get some attention (by the wrong people anyway).

4. The author claimed pretty much the same for 2009;

5. Look at the author’s CV: this guy started “getting interested” in financial matters in 2007 and has no experience whatsoever, aside maybe from reading a few fringe bloggers (like him) that use circular reference as main support for their claims. I don’t think he deserves the analyst title. And by the way, the author can’t make up his mind also on whether he will move to Russia soon or if he’s there already;

6. If you read his readers’ comments, you can divide most of them in two categories: on one side you’ll find uninformed readers that believe just anything that sounds conspiratorial and catastrophic and praise the author for his unbelievable insight, on the other side you’ll find many smart people with a very healthy dose of scepticism that appreciate information coming from real analysts who can substantiate their claims (like you and other professionals), and destroy the article quite easily.

This long rant is just to say this: you are doing a tremendous job in spreading the precious information usually not available on MSM or elsewhere, so please keep the quality bar high because there are many people who rely on YOUR good judgment to form their opinion. In any case keep up the great job and thank you for your dedication. I read the Creature about 8 years ago, and it changed my life, and thanks to your information it has become one of my life’s objectives to one day set up a foundation to research the alternative cancer cures in the most professional and undisputable way. Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you.

While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it's abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours.

Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!

We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.

Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our 'house', invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them. I DON'T choose to welcome them. I DON'T choose to support them. I DON'T choose to educate them. I DON'T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.

Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?
