A LITTLE GUN-CONTROL HISTORY

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1..5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only law-abiding citizens. With guns, we are citizens. Without them, we are subjects.

Switzerland issues every household a gun and trains every adult to use one. Switzerland has the lowest gun-related crime rate of any civilized country in the world. It's a no-brainer!

Dear Mr. Rand,
Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you.

While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it's abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours.

Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!

We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.

Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our 'house', invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them. I DON'T choose to welcome them. I DON'T choose to support them. I DON'T choose to educate them. I DON'T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.

Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?

Just an idea to mull over:
How about if the government got coins ready for release when silver reaches $25.80 per ounce. A silver-dollar-size coin redeemable by turning in $20 to a Federal Reserve bank. Replace the paper dollar with Silver Certificates, as things used to be. Perhaps the Treasury could also issue "50-cent pieces" worth $10 and silver "quarters" worth $5.

It wouldn't be practical for people to handle truckloads of silver coins, so the larger transactions would take place using paper dollars. But the dollar would become hard money once again. I nominate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for the $20, Ronald Reagan for the $10 and you (Griffin) for the $5.

NEGATIVE GUT FEELING ABOUT JESSE VENTURA

Is Jesse Ventura's show conspiracy theory controlled opposition? There has been a recent awaking of the masses although many are still polarized by the false choices of the two party frauds. I notice that the show conspiracy theory has all the right players that have been talking about the main issues years before the show aired. With that said those with some knowledge of the issues cannot call him out however this info was already reaching the masses. So the show in and of itself is reaching the masses most likely on a greater scale then what was already occurring through E-mails, Blogs, CDs, DVDs, and so forth however, is the end message the same?
I feel that the show sort of discredits the movement in a sense and makes the real movement sort of like a 'Sasquatch Sighting'!

I hope I am wrong but have a negative gut feeling about this show. I am glad the right voices are being aired but I think we should be very cautious in being overly loyal to Jesse as I think he is preparing for a major run in politics and may have made a deal with the Devil, so too speak! Again, I hope I am wrong.

UPDATE ON MICHAEL BADNARIK'S HEALTH

I just got off the phone with Michael Badnarik's Mother, Elaine. She informed me that his condition seems to have "backslid". They were were hoping that he would have been released on Wednesday to his Mother's care in Indiana but his condition is still critical.

Michael came out of his unconscious state, unbound his wrists some how, and removed the breathing tube from his throat. His mother remarked that when Michael came to he asked to be released. He doesn't understand how serious his situation is.

The hospital had to sedate him again to put the breathing tube back in because he is having trouble breathing. They cannot find the reason for his breathing problem... so he is currently sedated to ease the pressure on his lungs and heart. His heart is still in atrial fibrillation and had to be hit with the AED defibrillator to reset its rhythm. He will be sedated until his condition can be stabilized...

He is still at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital CCU in Lacrosse, WI. Please do not call or visit the hospital, only family is allowed. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

SECRETS OF ANTI-GRAVITY DEBUNKED

I recently purchased a book from you that you have been promoting on your website, entitled “Secrets of Antigravity Propulsion,” by one Paul A. LaViolette, Ph.D. May I say at the outset, that I am mystified as to how anyone could possibly have a Ph.D. and write such a book.

I scrolled down the contents page, and was absolutely gob-smacked to find a chapter there, Chapter 10 on Page 296, on what the author called “The Searl Effect.” I thought the author would be calling Searl to heel for misleading the public with his absolute nonsense; but, upon reading the chapter, I found that he went on waxing lyrical, singing the praises of the “Searl” machine, what it was supposed to do, what effects it had, how it “glowed in the dark,” how it “lifted itself off the table”, and went up and “banged against the ceiling”, how the “roller” magnets rolled around the ring, how it “went up into space”, etc. etc.

Let me explain my very own experiences with John Searl, some years ago now. As Past-President of the Inventors’ Association here in Australia, when I lived on the Gold Coast for some years, and with some successful patents to my credit and runs on the board – one of them winning the AUSTRADE Australian Export-of-the-Year Award for 1989 - I first heard and read about John Searl and what he was supposed to have done, in a magazine here, who obviously bought his story, as I did, in my naivete at the time, and trusting him, I spoke to him a number of times on the phone from here in Australia, and he invited me over to where he lived in north London, as his house guest, to inspect his “generator,” with a view to investing in it and developing it. He gave me next to no details over the phone.

After some consideration, and as I had some time and money on my hands at the time, I accepted his offer, and arranged to spend 10 days over there as his house guest. John Searl met me at Heathrow airport, and took me to a rented shack in th north London suburb, in what was a very low-class accommodation, a real hovel, to say the least. That was the first shock. After having a cup of tea and a piece of toast, we began to talk, and it took me about 20 to 25 minutes to come to the realisation that Searle didn’t have anything! NOTHING! He couldn’t even talk properly! All he wanted was for me to give him money!

He spoke of how his first “generator” took off on its own accord, glowing, and went up and bounced against the ceiling, the second one flew off into space, and he lost it – it never came back! The next one he made also took off and did the same thing, and it went up and flew over Denmark, and he had to contact some “amateur radio operators” over there and instruct them to send up some signals to it, which then turned it around and brought it back home, safe and sound! I asked him how he knew it was over Denmark, and he couldn’t answer that. I asked him how he knew who to contact amongst the amateur radio operators in Denmark, and he couldn’t answer that either. I asked him what frequencies he told them to transmit, he couldn’t answer that either. I asked him how they could transmit signals to a “saucer” that didn’t have any radio receivers or controls in it, and no steering gear or navigation equipment (I am a commercial pilot and former flying instructor also), he couldn’t answer that either. I could immediately tell that he was making up his stories as he spoke. Nothing made sense.

I asked him where it was now, and he said they dismantled it! I asked him where were the parts then, and or the NdFeB magnets, which were expensive, and he couldn’t answer that either. He made an attempt to convince me that it worked, and how it worked, and when he sensed, and then realised that I was not believing him, he stopped talking, and a couple of big crocodile tears rolled slowly down his face. He didn’t try any more.

He spoke of neodymium – he couldn’t even speak properly, or pronounce words properly, he didn’t even know what the properties of NdFeB magnets were, he didn’t even have one magnet in his place – no bits and pieces, nothing. Moreover, he had no technical knowledge whatsoever. I was absolutely flabbergasted how someone could carry on like John Searl did, trying to con money out of people. I am even more flabbergasted how someone with a PhD could write about him the way he has in this book. He hasn’t done any homework whatsoever. It is simply an outrageous compilation of plagiarism, to sell a book. Had I known that he had written up Searl, Townsend Brown, et al in the book, I never would have purchased it. It’s A CON!

IS THERE A CONTRADICTION BETWEEN STRIVING FOR POWER AND REJECTING VIOLENCE AS A MEANS OF ACQUIRING IT?

I am a longtime reader of "Unfiltered News", and have studied with great interest your essay collection "The Future is Calling" all parts many times over. I agree with your assessment of how and why our once great nation has devolved from a republic to a socialist democracy during the span of the previous 100 years. I am not convinced however in your solution as you state in the following quote taken from your position statements on the "ISSUES" page..... "IS VIOLENCE THE CORRECT PATH TO POLITICAL REFORM?"
"In fact, I believe that the Freedom Force strategy of recapturing the power centers of society by constitutional and legal means, not only is a better option, it is the only one with any chance of success."

If this is correct then how does this square with your statement below which I agree with, that advocates force as the only means to political authority.

"Unfortunately, Mao Zedong was right when he said that political power grows from the barrel of a gun. He could just as well have said political authority. A man may declare that he has authority to do such and such derived from law or from the Constitution or even from God. However, in the presence of an enemy or a criminal with a gun to his head, he has no power to exercise his proclaimed authority. That is why we make no bones about what we mean when we speak of power." Preceding quote taken from the "ISSUES" page "WHAT COMES FIRST: AUTHORITY OR POWER?"

Please understand I'm not trying to pull a "gotcha" here to feed my ego, but it seems to me that our federal government currently has all the power, or will have if and when they confiscate our guns. I have mulled these matters over many times, and have concluded that making progress to stop what's going on in the country, by working within the "laws" promulgated by a federal authority that many Americans acknowledge as totally corrupt from top to bottom, is likely unrealistically optimistic. The "power centers" as you phrase it are totally controlled by the same people who control the media, Congress, our latest puppet President, and the money supply (Fed-Central Banking) of the US and the world. I realize there is no future in advocacy of violent revolution, but at this point we are running out of time to as you say "recapture the power centers of society".

Hello Fred.
You are right on target with this observation. I agree that there is an apparent contradiction between recognizing the nature and role of power and, at the same time, advocating non-violent actions. To clarify my point, I should explain that my hope is that we can peacefully gain control over the power centers (and thus gain control over the military and police) just as collectivists have done. They have done this, not by physical force, but by social and political maneuvers. Therefore, we know it CAN be done peacefully. Whether we have time to do it is another matter. I am certain, however, that, with our present weak forces and lack of numbers in key positions, it would be impossible to have a successful military-style revolution or coup d’état. Therefore, I have no choice but to advocate the only option that has even the most remote chance of success over one that has no chance at all. It is not a happy choice.

MYSTERY OF THE "MISSING" ARTICLES OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION IS SOLVED

In the Dec 19 - 25 edition of the Unfiltered News, you mentioned that you have a book that has Articles 8-15 of the Constitution in it.
A friend and I did some research on it and this is what we've found: Its in the 1828 edition of "Interesting events in the history of the United States", (See it here)

Starting on page 204: (113) Hartford Convention. The pages I refer to are the ones printed on the pages, not the page of the digital document. They're about a page or two off.

In summary: The New England states met in 1814 to recommend 7 new amendments to the Constitution. The amendments would be the 7 articles.

>First: That Representatives and direct taxes shall be apportioned to the number of free persons.
>Second: That no new State shall be admitted into the Union without the concurrence of two thirds of both houses.
>Third: That Congress shall not have power to lay an embargo for more than sixty days.
>Fourth: That Congress shall not interdict commercial intercourse, without concurrence of two thirds of both houses.
>Fifth: That war shall not be declared without the concurrence of a similar majority.
>Sixth: That no person who shall be hereafter naturalized, shall be eligible as a member of the Senate or House of Representatives, or hold any civil office under the authority of the United States.
>Seventh: That no person shall be elected twice to the Presidency, nor the President be elected from the same State two terms in succession.

The result (p206, the last paragraph of section 113): "The proposed amendments to the Constitution were submitted to the several States, and rejected by all except Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut."
