ARE AMERICAN LEADERS MAKING MISTAKES?

It is truly amazing as one realizes the blatant idiocy of this nation's “elected” officials. We have lost over 4,000 young men in the name of ‘helping spread democracy’ in the Middle East. This war of insanity runs monthly to the tune of $7B ( billion ) dollars. Don’t let anyone kid you. We are not there to capture Bin Laden or help spread ( alleged ) democracy. No WMD’s either. We are there to keep the oil shipping lanes open. For this purpose, we choose to bankrupt our own nation by using imported oil at exorbitant costs to the American public. Doing this, our elected officials chose to use the blood of our best and brightest young men under the guise of ‘freedom’. If we have the unexplored resources here, wouldn't it make fiscal sense to drill HERE? We save lives and billions of dollars if we get out of the middle east. If we need to use military presence let’s line up those soldiers at the Mexican border and shut down the invasion of illegals and the drug trafficking.

If there is a concern about Muslim extremists entering this country then we need to “close our doors” in the name of national security. As the Romans, the English, and the Soviet Union learned, you cannot be the worlds policeman and keep your country financially fluid at the same time. Those who ignore history end up making the same mistakes. Apparently, our elected officials do not read.

I do not think American leaders are ignorant of history or of the folly of their alleged goals. They are not making mistakes in judgment. They have other agendas relating to personal wealth and global power through The New World Order. Once that is understood, everything thy do is logical.

A thought about Health Care: Our bodies are temples of God. Since we supposedly have separation of Church and State, we need to declare that taking care of our body (health) is a religious belief and the Government must have no control over the private relationship between a Doctor (Minister of Health) and a patient. From reading other's various responses to your criticism of the NHS, and reading the headline over my posted comment, I can only assume that you are of that noble American type - Seldom Right but Never Wrong. At no point in my original letter did I say, or give an inclination that "I like Socialized Medicine because it's free." I like the idea of The Government being involved in medicine, as I pointed out, not because pharmaceutical companies have greater reign to peddle their wares, but because anyone, no matter how poor, destitute or what colour they are will never be left lying on the side of a road if they can't afford medical insurance. Leaving aside the Pharmaceutical companies' inroads into the NHS, anyone who refuses to take
dangerous prescriptions will not be criminalized either. Perhaps your hatred for "Socialized Medicine" means you would like to see a Neo-Liberal Capitalist Medicine system, something similar to what's in the US at the moment. Or maybe you would like to see a free market medical system where only the advantaged can afford it, then those pesky serfs won't be in your way!

Damien, I am a little put off by your personal attack on my character and intelligence. Statements like these tell me you don't really have much to say in the form of rational critique but have fallen to the level of character assault to make your point. My first reaction was to just send your email to the Trash Bin but, on second thought, I have decided to overlook your attitude and just answer your points as best I can. Perhaps others can benefit from the exchange.

The first thing that you need to do is re-read your original email dated September 18. It stated in its entirety: "I really don't see your problem with Socialized medicine, and your rantings against it are starting to turn me off your newsletter. Your trip to England was 40 years ago for God's sake. Just because something has 'socialized' in it doesn't mean its bad. I'm a foreign student living in England and entitled to free GP visits and pretty much free everything. Many other countries say that??"

Now you say: "At no point in my original letter did I say, or give an inclination that "I like Socialized Medicine because it's free." Really! Let's analyze. Your original email conveyed only two thoughts. One was a complaint that I did not like government health care. The second was that government health care is free in the UK. You emphasize that fact with the concluding remark: "Many other countries say that??" If that isn't an inclination that you like socialized medicine because it's free, then it has no meaning at all. Furthermore,
that it is free is the only positive thing you had to say about government health care, so I stand without apology behind
my headline: STUDENT SEES NOTHING WRONG WITH SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. AFTER ALL, IT'S "FREE"

The next curious portion of your statement is: "Perhaps your hatred for "Socialized Medicine" means you would like to see a Neo-Liberal Capitalist Medicine system, something similar to what's in the US at the moment." First off, we learn from this that, although you are a foreign student in the UK benefiting from the tax subsidies of
working-class British citizens, you are not from the United States; but what on Earth is "a Neo-Liberal Capitalist Medicine system?"

This gibberish leads me to suspect that your education has been strongly influenced by fuzzy-minded Marxist ideology. I say fuzzy-minded because these words have absolutely no broadly accepted definition and are typical of Left-Wing propaganda designed to instill hatred against everything that smacks of private ownership and private control. I know it well, because I have read their books. My guess is that you are a passionate advocate of collectivism and, as such, are ready to do battle with anyone who sees individualism as a superior social and economic model. If I am correct in this, there is no single argument I can present here to change your mind, but I urge you (and anyone else grappling with these underlying principles) to allow me to at least present the case for individualism by reading my essay entitled The Chasm, available as a free download here.

Now we come to the crux of your position. You state: "I like the idea of The Government being involved in medicine ... because anyone, no matter how poor, destitute or what colour they are will never be left lying on the side of a road if they can't afford medical insurance." This is the greatest myth of all, and it is based on the assumption that, under private health care, the destitute are left by the side of the road to die. Hogwash!. In truth, it's the other way around. The medical care for the destitute in America has consistently been superior to care for the destitute in any country where health care is provided by the government. True, there are horrific stories of people left to die because they lacked insurance, but each of those can be matched by a hundred horrific stories of people who have been left to die at home or in waiting lines or in unattended hospital beds waiting for their "free" government care.

Prior to the arrival of government intrusion into U.S. medical care several decades ago in the form of Medicare and various similar programs at the state level, it was customary for doctors and hospitals to allocate a significant portion of their services to those who could not pay. Extensive charity was the norm, but was soon replaced by
government funding, rules, regulations, quotas, and guidelines so that medical charity now is all but gone.

By the way, Damien, I hope you realize that the word free is absurd. It merely means free to you at the expense of someone else. Actually, it's not even free to you because, eventually, you are going to pay those costs either by taxation when you join the work force, by inflation even if you never pay taxes, and by loss of personal freedom-of-choice, not only in health care, but in all walks of life - because collectivism knows no boundaries. It does not stay restricted to just health care but seeps into every aspect of human life.

Back to the main point. The destitute will always be better served under individualism via charity and freedom than under collectivism via political expediency and coercion. Therefore, you and your fellow collectivists, although high minded and with the finest humanitarian instincts, have been fooled by Marxist slogans into supporting just the opposite of what you seek.

Finally, you wrote: "Maybe you would like to see a free market medical system where only the advantaged can afford it, then those pesky serfs won't be in your way!" I have already addressed the issue of the advantaged vs. the disadvantaged, but the innuendo that my motive is to not let those pesky serfs get in my way is too insulting to ignore. I will not bore you with the story of my middle-class origin, but I will state as emphatically as I can that the ideology of collectivism, with which you are enamored, is leading inexorably to the greatest serfdom the world has ever seen. If you wish to avoid being a pesky serf forever, I urge you to study further and consider the alternative: individualism. It will set you free.

IS THE UN LESS SOCIALISTIC THAN THE US?

Don’t you think the headline from the Guardian about the inevitable censorship of the Internet is a bit propagandist? When reading the article, if the facts are true, it seems that this might be a better option than leaving the Internet in the hands of our socialist government. Having a more international presence could have the effect of safeguarding our information network rather than creating censorship.

Heather, I cannot think of a single country with any serious influence at the UN that is not just as collectivist (a better word than socialist, because socialism is but one variant of collectivism) as the United States - if not more so. The trend all around the world is for collectivist governments to censor the Internet to control the flow of information. Some countries, such as China and England, actually are ahead of the U.S. on that score. As long as control resides within the U.S. there is at least a theoretical chance that an informed and activated American electorate can prevent the Internet from being used in this fashion. Once it is internationalized, however, we will have absolutely no opportunity to influence it.

One more thing: The assumption that member nations and their people will have an influence on the UN is not realistic. The kind of government that was built into the UN charter is totally collectivist, and even if the people of the world should clamor for a free Internet, the UN, once given the power to control it, will not be obligated to abide by their wishes. A collectivist system is always from the top down, not the bottom up - in spite of all the smoke and mirrors of so-called democracy. I do not think the Guardian headline is propagandistic at all. It is a simple statement of fact.

WHAT DO READERS THINK ABOUT DVD: THE NEW AMERICAN CENTURY?

Dear Mr. Griffin-
I look forward to your Unfiltered News every week. I noticed that you are selling the film "New American Century". The film attempts to uncover motives for the attacks of 9/11/01. I think overall it's a fantastic film for those just waking up but I have a few questions I wanted to share with those of your readers who are "further down the rabbit hole".

The film makes the case (quite well) that 9/11 was carried out by the neocon founders of PNAC with the motives of profit and control of oil resources. It doesn't do quite as good a job of explaining to people that they or others behind them were probably also motivated by the increase of government control over the people. We know from films like the Money Masters and America: From Freedom to Fascism and your book, The Creature from Jeckyll Island that typically the perpetrators behind wars are the bankers who lend money to the governments on both sides of the war and thereby leave governments beholden to them. For bankers who can create their own money out of thin air, money would not be a motive, only control over governments and thereby control over people. We also know from other films like "Who Killed the Electric Car?" that the oil barons are not interested in preserving our oil resources but would rather increase our dependency on them. This is further evidenced by the fact that inventors of alternative energy sources for decades have been bought off or threatened to keep their inventions from being used. So in the end, energy resources can not be the true motive behind 9/11/01 either. However, the illusion that we are dependent on oil can be used as a further method of controlling people.

In particular I'm interested in the coverage that the New American Century gives to the raiding and destruction of ancient artifacts, books and archeological sites in Iraq. It seems to me that the creators of the New World Order have had a fixation on the middle east that is out of proportion to our "dependency" on oil when they've known for decades that viable alternative energy solutions exist. How much of this is about recovering and controlling ancient knowledge from the Sumerian cultures? Could this also be the motive behind the continued drum beat to go to war with Iran? Why has there been constant wars between the west and the middle east since the Crusades? I can not believe that religion has anything to do with this but has only been used by the elite to goad the masses into believing that these wars have some justification. Is it all about Islamic law that forbids usury? I would love to hear from you and your readers their thoughts about these questions.

Since there are so many issues underlying these questions, I think it is best for me to say simply that I agree with your general line of reasoning but, regarding specifics, I will throw this open for discussion and invite reader comment. LETTER TO EDUCATORS: VACCINES NEVER WORKED!

Dear Educators,
As an educator, the parents of your community have entrusted their greatest resource into your care, their children. These young ones are the true innocents in every society. Many of them will automatically believe everything you say and just about all of them will do whatever you suggest while they are in your presence. While I say that our children are our greatest resource, they are not a commodity as businesses and governments often imply.

Regardless of what any school board states, education is not a business, but the most sacred duty of any civilized land. And your services, although not often paid well, are among the very most important services ever performed by any adults in any age. It is your efforts that help young minds bridge the gap of a child’s knowledge of himself to being connected to a much larger civilization.

I’m writing to you because I understand that you are being prepared to do something awful, something unimaginable, and something quite damaging to the young innocents in your care. You are being conditioned, like Pavlov’s dog, to send the children in your classroom to be vaccinated without the consent of their parents. But vaccination has never worked and not only makes a person’s immune system weaker, it sometimes gives them a disease. This is not my opinion, it is fact, which I’ll show below, and can be found by anyone who researches this practice. (More)

MOVIE REVIEW OF CAPITALISM. A LOVE STORY

Just got back from Michael Moore's new doc, CAPITALISM. This one may start riots across the U.S. Heavily pushes socialism in the name of "democracy" doesn't mention fiat currency (of course), gives the media a little guff (but not Hollywood of course), no mention of multinationals or Clinton signing NAFTA, highly partisan, makes many good points about greed and monopoly capitalism but makes the classic straw argument in commingling "capitalism" with "free enterprise" (as part of Marx's strategy). Film does give the banks hell and even encourages disobeying the law when it comes to allowing the banks to repo. Most important thing in film IMO was Moore emphasizes that 1% control 95% of wealth, however the 99% of the population controls the vote but fails to use it. Why? Because so many of them are hoping to be rich someday, thus they give them a pass. I see this kind of butt-kissing ALL OVER this area. Moore introduces two new words the Left and Right are sure to love and hate: PLUTONOMY (what the plutocracy calls itself) and DEAD PEASANTS (what corporate fascists call some of their employees). Probably Moore's most important work but again, offers no solutions and is propaganda piece for blatant socialism as well as a political vehicle for Harvey Weinstein. My forthcoming film, ORIGINAL INTENT, will dead agent much of this film and give whys and solutions.

DOESN'T LIKE BEING COMPARED TO A SERF

Dear Mr Griffiin, are you calling us in Britain serfs? Name calling is a very defeatist's way. I am surprised at this.

We in Britain are very proud of our democratic system and it suits us. It is not communism, which the Americans are scared of. In a capitalist system there should be a safeguard for the unfortunates like me who can be disabled and have best treatment without having to think how I am going to pay for it. I get transport organised by the NHS to go to the hospital for treatment. I get my medication delivered to the door organised by the NHS. And I do not pay any money. I payed my National Insuarence all my working days, which was not a huge amount.

I do not live like a serf. I have my power as a citizen to vote for local and national governing bodies. Locally I get information about all local and national policy changes via the Internet. I have power to talk for or against the policy changes. I am sure the system in Britain is not perfect but we are evolving into a better one all the time.

I have already stated my case, but I will repeat the essence of it: It might be nice to live in a system where others are forced to pay for my care (a kind of involuntary servitude for my benefit), but I know from logic and history that such a system inevitably becomes both inefficient and tyrannical. Even if that were not true, I value freedom and, on principle alone, must stand against any system of involuntary servitude, for that is the essence of slavery. There are many in Britain who agree with that.

THOSE WITH FLU SHOTS MORE LIKELY TO GET IT?

I hope you are well. Here is something regarding the flu vaccinations that might be worthy of mention on "Unfiltered News"... There is a small free daily in Vancouver, BC, Canada, called "Metro" that is usually given out at transit stops and stations. Tucked away in today's (09/29/09) Metro was a small article attributed to The Canadian Press titled "Flu Outbreak." In part it said that BC is joining other provinces in Canada that are delaying part of the seasonal flu shot programs this year because of an unpublished scientific study that found that those given flu shots last year were twice as likely to get the flu. I hope the delay is a step in the right direction. Please keep up the great work with Freedom Force and Reality Zone.

THE TRUTH BEHIND HEALTH CARE "REFORM"

This is in response to Anonymous, who argues for the virtues of the British system.

At the time of this writing, September, 2009, the focus of the people of the United States, is on health care reform. One year ago, just prior to the presidential election, 'health care reform' was an issue, but a much bigger issues was being made over pulling our troops from Iraq - particularly from the Left. A year later, not only are our troops still in Iraq, but we have gone back into Afghanistan. While there were multitudes of Left-wing protests to our occupation in Iraq, a year later, we are involved in yet TWO 'wars' and the Left is quiet on the issue.

The issue today is health care reform, and who owns the rights to exactly which plan being drafted. President Obama's or Senator Jones'? The Democrat-penned plan or the Republican? The issue isn't reform. It is 'Whose version?' We've already been sold on the need for 'reform.' Americans are being forced buy the concept of the 'need' for health care reform. Whose version is meaningless as long as it falls into government hands - and that's a sure thing at this point. All that mattered in the first placeis that Americans buy into the need for health care for ALL Americans, not just the 'fortunate' ones.

Truth is, everyone that wanted it had it - even the 'undocumented non-citizens.' No one gets turned away in America, at least not from hospital-provided emergency care. Of course, the hospital takes the hit and, of course, the cost is passed on to those who do pay, either out-of-pocket or via the insurance industry. The REAL culprit is entitlement, not coverage. The collectivist view is that, since the U.S. has some of the best health care provisions in the world, then we should all be entitled to the very best of the best. Not just the wealthy. Should I not have access to the best? Well, sure, if I have the means. If not, then, well... No. That isn't humane, though, is it? Of course it is. No one is denying health care to those who are not wealthy. It is just that they may not have access to the best surgeon, the best ENT guy, and so on - but the access is still there.

Let's look at it from another point of view: Lots of people fly. Most people fly Coach. Some fly First Class. Suppose someone gains momentum with the argument that all travelers are entitled to First Class seating. Well, the first problem is that there is not enough First Class seating for everyone. OK, then, let's re-design the cabin so that it is ALL First Class... for the price of Coach. Well the problem you create then is there won't be enough income from ticket sales to fly the plane from point A to point B. This is where Congress jumps in: The Left: We can have the people subsidize air travel to make up for the loss. The Right: Now, we don't want more subsidies. Let's re-design the cabin so that it is all Coach. That way, we will at least break even... and on and on it goes.

The entitlement factor won out way at the beginning, and by the time most wake up and catch up to the fact that there is an argument over 'First Class Rights' the real issue is long forgotten and ignored. Who ever wins now doesn't matter because we have turned the 'problem' over to government (the original goal) - when there really was no problem to begin with. We simply bought into the concept of entitlement, and entitlement screams for government to take over to mediate and to'grant' rights, as if they were not there in the first place. That's all that was necessary. But the media pundits on either side rally us on and polarize us behind the intricacies of such a 'non-issue' issue that we never even saw the first punch coming.
