Dear Mr Griffiin, are you calling us in Britain serfs? Name calling is a very defeatist's way. I am surprised at this.

We in Britain are very proud of our democratic system and it suits us. It is not communism, which the Americans are scared of. In a capitalist system there should be a safeguard for the unfortunates like me who can be disabled and have best treatment without having to think how I am going to pay for it. I get transport organised by the NHS to go to the hospital for treatment. I get my medication delivered to the door organised by the NHS. And I do not pay any money. I payed my National Insuarence all my working days, which was not a huge amount.

I do not live like a serf. I have my power as a citizen to vote for local and national governing bodies. Locally I get information about all local and national policy changes via the Internet. I have power to talk for or against the policy changes. I am sure the system in Britain is not perfect but we are evolving into a better one all the time.

I have already stated my case, but I will repeat the essence of it: It might be nice to live in a system where others are forced to pay for my care (a kind of involuntary servitude for my benefit), but I know from logic and history that such a system inevitably becomes both inefficient and tyrannical. Even if that were not true, I value freedom and, on principle alone, must stand against any system of involuntary servitude, for that is the essence of slavery. There are many in Britain who agree with that.

THOSE WITH FLU SHOTS MORE LIKELY TO GET IT?

I hope you are well. Here is something regarding the flu vaccinations that might be worthy of mention on "Unfiltered News"... There is a small free daily in Vancouver, BC, Canada, called "Metro" that is usually given out at transit stops and stations. Tucked away in today's (09/29/09) Metro was a small article attributed to The Canadian Press titled "Flu Outbreak." In part it said that BC is joining other provinces in Canada that are delaying part of the seasonal flu shot programs this year because of an unpublished scientific study that found that those given flu shots last year were twice as likely to get the flu. I hope the delay is a step in the right direction. Please keep up the great work with Freedom Force and Reality Zone.

THE TRUTH BEHIND HEALTH CARE "REFORM"

This is in response to Anonymous, who argues for the virtues of the British system.

At the time of this writing, September, 2009, the focus of the people of the United States, is on health care reform. One year ago, just prior to the presidential election, 'health care reform' was an issue, but a much bigger issues was being made over pulling our troops from Iraq - particularly from the Left. A year later, not only are our troops still in Iraq, but we have gone back into Afghanistan. While there were multitudes of Left-wing protests to our occupation in Iraq, a year later, we are involved in yet TWO 'wars' and the Left is quiet on the issue.

The issue today is health care reform, and who owns the rights to exactly which plan being drafted. President Obama's or Senator Jones'? The Democrat-penned plan or the Republican? The issue isn't reform. It is 'Whose version?' We've already been sold on the need for 'reform.' Americans are being forced buy the concept of the 'need' for health care reform. Whose version is meaningless as long as it falls into government hands - and that's a sure thing at this point. All that mattered in the first placeis that Americans buy into the need for health care for ALL Americans, not just the 'fortunate' ones.

Truth is, everyone that wanted it had it - even the 'undocumented non-citizens.' No one gets turned away in America, at least not from hospital-provided emergency care. Of course, the hospital takes the hit and, of course, the cost is passed on to those who do pay, either out-of-pocket or via the insurance industry. The REAL culprit is entitlement, not coverage. The collectivist view is that, since the U.S. has some of the best health care provisions in the world, then we should all be entitled to the very best of the best. Not just the wealthy. Should I not have access to the best? Well, sure, if I have the means. If not, then, well... No. That isn't humane, though, is it? Of course it is. No one is denying health care to those who are not wealthy. It is just that they may not have access to the best surgeon, the best ENT guy, and so on - but the access is still there.

Let's look at it from another point of view: Lots of people fly. Most people fly Coach. Some fly First Class. Suppose someone gains momentum with the argument that all travelers are entitled to First Class seating. Well, the first problem is that there is not enough First Class seating for everyone. OK, then, let's re-design the cabin so that it is ALL First Class... for the price of Coach. Well the problem you create then is there won't be enough income from ticket sales to fly the plane from point A to point B. This is where Congress jumps in: The Left: We can have the people subsidize air travel to make up for the loss. The Right: Now, we don't want more subsidies. Let's re-design the cabin so that it is all Coach. That way, we will at least break even... and on and on it goes.

The entitlement factor won out way at the beginning, and by the time most wake up and catch up to the fact that there is an argument over 'First Class Rights' the real issue is long forgotten and ignored. Who ever wins now doesn't matter because we have turned the 'problem' over to government (the original goal) - when there really was no problem to begin with. We simply bought into the concept of entitlement, and entitlement screams for government to take over to mediate and to'grant' rights, as if they were not there in the first place. That's all that was necessary. But the media pundits on either side rally us on and polarize us behind the intricacies of such a 'non-issue' issue that we never even saw the first punch coming.

IN DEFENSE OF THE GERM THEORY

I'd like to respond to David Snieckus' letter about germ theory. He states that the medical establishment goes after germs when disease is really caused internally due to the host's condition. First, I would agree that vaccines and many pharmaceuticals have become the most common but misguided approach to medicine in light of the known natural precautions and remedies for many conditions. However, to say that germs aren't the cause of disease is to ignore a great deal of legitimate science and to blame the victim. For instance, everyone who has ever had an attack of influenza can tell you that one minute they were perfectly fine and healthy (presumably with the proper pH balance) and the next they were feeling like a victim of a drive-by bludgeoning. Many people are quite healthy overall, but once exposed to a germ for which their immune system, through no fault of their own, has no defense, they do get sick from it. Eventually, they recover their former good health and are probably healthier for having an improved immune system.

Certainly, poor health renders one more vulnerable to infections, but those infecting organisms do exist. Healthy bodies, or those with antibodies already established for the specific infecting microbes, simply put down the infection. Unhealthy ones fare worse. To say that you get sick because your alkalinity is a bit out of whack and not because you've acquired a foreign organism that is rapidly reproducing in your tissues is truly an oversimplification of scientifically known disease processes and causations. For some things, it's a good idea to listen to people with microscopes and petri dishes.

For the record, I do not avail myself of the AMA type services for my petty aggravations and do pursue natural precautions and remedies whenever necessary. Yet, I truly tire of these simplistic health theories that suggest you can have health perfection if only you would balance this, take that, stop this other thing, increase something else, etc. Your body and mind is far too complex to be considered only one supplement or idiosyncratic dietary program away from disease or perfect health. I think natural medicine and some pharmaceutical medicine can and do balance each other well if the practitioners are permitted to ply their trades in true liberty.

THE RICH AND THE SUPER RICH

In your e-mail newsletter today, a lady asked: "DOES GOVERNMENT CONTROL CORPORATIONS OR CORPORATIONS CONTROL GOVERNMENT?"
My sense is that about six hundred super-rich families control most of the largest corporations in the USA and, together with the world's super-rich (Rothschild, Warburg, et al.), they own most of the world's largest corporations. These corporations are cash cows which allow the elite to purchase politicians, corporate management, lobbyists, media management and celebrities in addition to large numbers of education and religious leaders. They control these corporate entities via tax-free foundations and offshore numbered accounts. They are able to "load" the various boards of directors with their representatives on a one share/one vote basis.

A reference for this information is: "The Rich and the Super-Rich" by Ferdinand Lundberg. Most of these families stay off of the radar screen and work through their representatives in the various groups like Bilderberg, CFR and a host of other non-profit organizations which provide direction for our elected leaders and brainwashing for the masses. Only a few of the super-rich like David Rockefeller are actively involved with any of these policy groups. For example, Mr. Rockefeller usually attends meetings with Henry Kissinger but Mr. Kissinger is a wealthy minion, not a member of the super-rich. A good source is: "Shadows of Power" by James Perloff.

The super-rich are the source of the world's problems and attempting to do battle with their minions is like fighting the smoke and ignoring the flame.

I have stepped back and taken a look at the larger picture. You helped me do that with your book, World without Cancer. Contrary to claims that our government is taking over the corporations, in reality, a cartel of banks and corporations have taken over our government, by lobby and campaign contribution influence. Big business + legislature = collusion + corruption. This is the larger picture. Our founding fathers said that power corrupts... then proceeded to give us both. Their first move toward it was slavery = cheap labor.... Already, we were not all "created equal".

Congratulations on being able to see through the smokescreen and recognize that the new reality in Washington is a merger of government and corporations, with government the captive. By definition, this is corporate fascism.

The slavery issue is worth re-examining. In no way do I condone slavery, but please be aware that our founding fathers did not invent it. It was not their "first move." They were born into a world at a time when it was commonplace. Many of our ancestors were outspoken against slavery and were working to bring about a shift in public opinion that was inexorably moving in the direction of universal emancipation. It is easy for us, 200 years later, to look back and be judgmental about how slowly the reform was moving, but one does not change the economic and ethical base of an entire society overnight.

Most people alive today, if suddenly transported back in time to find themselves living in the world that existed then, would be unable to sway many minds, no matter how eloquent they may be. If they found themselves as estate owners with scores of slaves producing crops, it is highly unlikely that they would discharge those workers and close down their enterprises. Some would reply that all they would have to do is free them and then pay them a wage for the same work, but that would have been impossible. Most slaves in those days lacked enough education to count their wages, negotiate their lodging, purchase their food, obtain medical care (such as it was), or perform any of the other functions of free men. They were born as slaves, and that’s the only mode of existence most of them knew. They may have wanted to be free, but, just as at the end of the Civil War many years later, most of them didn’t know how to be free.

Genuine reform of that magnitude takes time, and I believe we can be proud to know it was underway at the time of the American Revolution and just as advanced, if not more so, as similar reform anywhere else in the world. If we are to condemn early Americans for the institution of slavery which they inherited, then we must also condemn Europeans, Asians, and Africans of that time. Yes, Africans. It is true that slaves brought to Europe and America were transported by Dutch and British ships but they were

captured into slavery and sold to those slave traders by African chiefs and warring tribes. In other words, no one's ancestors are free of this taint.

It took centuries for the world's advanced cultures to reject slavery, and we should not single out the American colonists as though they were the originators and advocates of that dying institution. Let's leave Founding-Father-bashing to those who hate America.

A simple reply to this post. Having private insurance in this Country does not automatically assure that you will get reimbursed for treatments, or even allowed to get treatment. With some insurances a primary doctor needs to recommend further treatment. Oftentimes, these 'primary' doctors are nothing more than administrative clerks (who know very little about health) hired to make sure you do not get treatment or further treatment. HMO's, HIP, GHI - privately paid by hard working classes - all baloney. All a mess.

CANADA HAS STOCKPILED ENOUGH SWINE FLU VACCINE FOR WHOLE POPULATION

I have been talking with people that have had access to very large warehouses full of 100's of millions of dollars worth of Pharmaceuticals. Apparently the Canadian plan has a warehouse full of pharmaceuticals in every Canadian city. These stockpiles are pandemic supplies, and Canada has enough vaccine for the H1N1 Virus for every man, woman and child, even though I don't know a single person that would submit to the vaccine. You may not believe it but we Canadians are saying they can stick it into our cold dead arms. I think that even Canada is waking up to the shananigans that are going on between the BDC (Peoples Bank) and our government. Interesting how we are slated for the next G8 and G20.

While I agree that the Germ Theory Of Disease is wrong (like saying wet streets cause rain, the excessive presence of germs is the result of a more profound, underlying cause) I'm perplexed over one thing. No amount of proper nutrition, supplementation, alkalyzing the body, etc. can prevent some microbes, i.e. rabies and ebola, from doing their thing. In those cases, vaccination is the only life-saving course. What's the explanation for this?

If you think it would help, would you invite your readers to write similar emails and letters to their local agencies and go before their City Councils to get their communities aware of the dangers of mandated vaccines? I think Joe Wilson is the epitome of the left/right paradigm. Not only does he try to portray himself as a full fledged conservative, but also someone who values this nation's constitutional principles. The problem with that is the FACT that in 2003 Wilson was one of the deciding votes in the "Medicare Prescription Drug and Modernization Act" which granted free prescription drug coverage to illegal aliens. As for his supposed support of the Constitution, he threw it to the wind when he had the chance to dismantle it by voting for the FISA Amendments Act, The USA Patriot Act, The Real ID Act, and voted to fund the unconstitutional wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. If all of that wasn't enough to ensure you that Joe Wilson is just another collectivist actor in the game of politics, consider the fact that he is also involved in the very shady and collectivist group known as the Freemasons (http://lefemineforlife.blogspot.com/2008/05/mason-shriner-congressman-cafta-joe.html), who are known for their subversive push towards a global totalitarian government. We just want to go on record to say that, in our opinion, the blanket condemnation of Fremasons is unwarranted. While it is true that many high ranking Masons have aligned themselves with the collectivist agenda, many others have not and, more important, the majority of rank-and-file Masons are typical of the political cross-section of the larger population. READER SAYS MAIL ONLINE IS BIASED BUT THINKS DEMOCRACY NOW IS NOT

“MailOnline” is obviously an incredibly biased “news source”, and not worthy of objective observation. This comment is in response to their article "A million people marched in Washington to protest "Obama the Socialist" [Incidentally, U.S. based media gave the number as "tens of thousands."] dated 2009 Sept 14.

This article sounds like it will give some statistics regards the actual turn-out, but it is another extremist rant against Obama and healthcare reform. I especially like all the baited National Inquirer type hooks on the right of the page which clues me in to the demographic this rag is targeting. But, maybe that’s their schicht from the start. Anyhow, virtually all mainstream media sources (even some on Fox News) endorse a far lower number. PolitiFact, the nonpartisan fact-checking site, cited an officer for the D.C. Fire and Emergency Department telling a reporter that, unofficially, he thought between 60,000 and 75,000 people had shown up.

Truth be told, I wish it had been a million, hell, 10 million! I wish they had marched up and over the Capital. It’s way past time. I think it is a strange irony though, that the people who are the most emotionally inspired to take action, are the ones who buy into the Obama/Hitler, or Obama/Antichrist diatribe. These are the same people who should start asking themselves -who is benefiting by decimating such hateful rhetoric? My hope is they start studying for themselves the history of the church, the history of the intl bankers, the history of the CIA; until they realize whom to truly direct their rage upon.

The incredible amount of manipulation done to keep the squabbling at a fever pitch is to divert the argument away from the fascist corporate oligarchy and enslavement agenda. Not that deep down these folks don’t have a sense of that, but misdirection is the operative word here. Unfortunately, to the Beck and Limbaugh crowd, such concepts are beyond their grasp. Just the suggestion that their thoughts are not their own is repugnant; the concept of their prejudices are being played upon, incomprehensible. It would not surprise me if this “MailOnline” news, is, like has been suggested of Beck, a CIA op. And by CIA I mean, America INC..

Please do not confuse us with the right-wing collectivists within the Republican Party who relate to Limbaugh and Beck. They are properly concerned about the Left-Wing collectivism of the Obama Administration but are not yet able to see essentially the same ideology within the ranks of their own leaders. As you know, we find collectivism to be the enemy of freedom regardless of whther it comes from the Left or Right. They are but two opposing wings of the same ugly bird. Unfortunately, those on the Left are just as blind to this reality as those on the Right - but we are working to enlighten them.

As for the correctness of the crowd estimate, we have no inside track, nor do we thing it is particularly important, except to the extent to which the partisan mainstream media attempts to manipulate the truth to support its particular bias. I spoke yesterday with several of the participants at the demonstration, and they didn't know the number, either, but estimated it to be over a million. In all honesty, however, there is no way for a participant to know any better than someone looking at photographs from the air.

Unfiltered News often has linked to stories published by Democracy Now in spite of its obvious Left-Wing bias. As with the case of MailOnline, this bias is revealed by the issues and references proided on the sidebars of its web site. If we refrained from linking to sources completely void of bias, we would have little or no news to report. Out goal is to locate stories that are reported accurately in spite of the bias and, where this is not the case, we try to defuse the bias by calling attention to it. That's the meaning of UNFILTERED NEWS.
