WHO WILL CAST THE FIRST STONE AT HUCKABEE?

Dear Ed,
I followed the links (as best I could) that Connie Ruffley had quoted from about Huckabee. I give credit to Alan Stang, he writes well. My question is; what are his information sources on Huckabee? Again following the links....from newswithviews to judicialwatch....I can't help but ask "who watches the watchers?" Ad infinitum.

Let us be honest, if we dig deep enough into anyone's past, something, however small, will be found to discredit them with. Allow me to borrow an old quote from an old book; "Let he who hath not sinned cast the first stone." In present day vernacular that would translate into something like this; "Is there anyone here who can honestly say that he has never done anything wrong?" And further, if he could possibly prove it, we should certainly consider him for leadership!

I have heard that the CFR had been in contact with Huckabee, and with their long arm of influence, ( e.g. Rupert Murdock's association with CFR ) it would not be at all surprising if he were made an offer he could hardly refuse....his own TV show. Huckabee has been discredited, in part, by Connie Ruffley and Alan Stang over some of the songs & lyrics he performs. Stang even quoted some of the lyrics in his article. Ed, if I were to dig into all the lyrics of the hundreds of songs that my wife and I sing at shows & dances, though mostly oldies but goodies, would we then, be discredited (if running for office) because the words to some of our songs are offensive to some people? Would that disqualify me if I chose to run for office? Entertaining people has taught us that it is impossible to please everyone.

When considering all the other candidates, it was my opinion that Huckabee was the lesser of many evils. So now, what choices do we have left? To the best of my limited knowledge, there remain only two choices; Ron Paul and G. Edward Griffin.....and I know Ed is not interested! That leaves Ron Paul..... and even if the many millions needed to promote him were available...and if he were successful in gaining the Presidency, he would be totally surrounded by enemies of the worst kind. His loyal supporters (us) would only be able to protect him for so long......The real power needed to combat this insidious adversary is in the people. We need to work harder at EFFECTIVELY getting the word out to the unsuspecting American people. If it takes getting Mr. Griffin, ( who is best qualified) on the Huckabee show to get the media exposure he needs to get the word out, then surely saving our nation is far more important than Mr. Huckabee's choice of Southern Rock music. If he is, indeed a phony Minister, then we can be fairly certain that God is aware of it and will know best how to deal with him. If one does not believe in God, then it becomes a moot point.

Whether it is Huckabee, O'Reilly, Hannity,Lou Dobbs or Glenn Beck is not the point.....the point is, doing whatever it takes to let the American people know what is happening behind the scenes before it is too late! We all want what is best for our country and people, so please let's try and work together as Americans...Americans who care.

A VOICE FROM NORWAY: ROLE MODEL FOR THE NEW WORLD ORDER

Hi Ed. Things are moving in various forms here. Norway is, as you might have sensed, a semi communistic state run by a very tight governmental system that pacifies its population by an administration unparalleled in history. There are 4,7 million inhabitants and .3 mill workers in administration and collateral groups working indirectly for administration. This massive administrative group is fed by oil billions; else the whole system would collapse. In such an atmosphere of passivity, Freedom Force International is like a daydream to most. I have talked with numerous people, but they have a deep feeling inside that it does not matter or that Freedom Force may be some dangerous right-wing American group that threatens the social peace.

Norway reflects the future of the USA. It is the role model for the New World Order; a pacified society where people are afraid and do not express openly their views because of loss of privileges. If any person within the system talks against the system, he is without a network and a job.

You awarded a man in Norway for his work for health. He is a good man really, but working in the system, his actions are pacified. He, too, is becoming mainstream, because that is how the system works. It tailors you into mainstream. By stressing social responsibility as an ideal and promoting love and peace as ideals, every opponent to the current system is seen as someone who is antisocial and not caring. We even have examples where a high ranking administrator who has criticized the system was put into a psychiatric hospital with a diagnosis of psychosis and paranoia. This goes for people near the top; one was Mrs. Tafto who was working in the administration of former Prime Minister Gro Harlem Bruntland. So no one is basically secure; serious critique is regarded as bad and even a sign of mental illness.

Promoting Freedom Force International in Russia will be easier as one Russian intellectual said to me: "I have now lived in Norway for 20 years and find it more repressing than old Russia and more dangerous, because we do not know who the enemy is. It is the whole system that is the game; not single groups or dictators." So Norway is a role model for making the ultimate passive society.

Intellectuals these days? Well, they go fishing and do not care any more. Sad, Ed. Very sad.

THE ONLY SOLUTION TO HEALTH CARE PROBLEMS

In reading all of the articles Unfiltered News is presenting against healthcare reform, it's easy for one to conclude that you like the healthcare system that we have right now, and are in support of it remaining exactly the same. But we as a nation spend so much more money per family than other Western countries do on health care, and our health insurance companies sometimes deny paying claims for people who have been insured with them for years, in the interest of maximizing their company's profits.

In your opinion, do we have any problems we need to fix with our current healthcare system? And if so, what do you recommend as the solution for these problems?

This question deserves a lengthy reply dealing with the history and ratiojnale behind it, but the short answer is this: I am not happy with the present health care system because, although it is of high quality in many respects, it is also very expensive. Even worse than the expense, however, is the fact that it represents a near monopoly of drug-oriented health care. This is a result of pharmaceutical companies spending huge amounts of money to lobby Congress to pass laws that seriously handicap non-drug health care. In fact, that is why the system is so expensive. If competition from alternative practitioners were allowed, the quality actually would go up while the cost would be drastically reduced.

The reason I am not in favor of socialized medicine is that the problems with today's system would be made worse. Drug-based care would be further entrenched, what is left of freedom-of-choice would be completely extinguished, the ever-increasing costs would be paid by the common man through taxes and inflation, and the quality would decline.

The only solution to the problems in our present health care system is to get the government OUT of it completely, not to increase its role.

Thank you for your work and newsletter. I have been a fan and reader for quite a while. I was born in Canada and reside in Australia. Politically, I am a user pays, traditional conservative and anti collectivist.

Here are my observations on socialized medicine for what it is worth. In the 60's in Canada there were many small community hospitals. Every town of 50,000 had one. Doctors offered their services to under-privileged people at reduced or no cost. I have a faint memory that dentists did the same thing. More people were gainfully employed, food quality was better and there was general contentment. As socialized medicine took hold many of these hospitals closed and larger centralized facilities took over. Government control increased. Quality of medical care in socialized Australia is fading but still at a very high standard. A friend's child was born via C Section last week in a public hospital here in Australia. They will pay nothing for the birth and the stay. I have never paid a single doctors bill for any member of my family. We have had our usual broken bones and illnesses.

We often read stories that certain people need special surgery that they can't get it in Canada or Australia or the UK and have to go to the US. These stories are held up to demonstrate the failure of the socialized medicine. The large US market has produced major facilities with highly specialized capabilities. From this vantage point however people who need that kind of assistance are in the minority. I wonder how many US families would like to be able to have a child in a hospital, or have a broken leg set or an appendectomy performed at no cost to them?

In summary,
Do I believe in socialized medicine? No. (but it use it..)
Does it work for the lion share of Australians? Yes.
Is it as good as what it used to be? No.
Is it declining as fast as American medical care? I don't think so.
What is functional socialized medicine dependant on? A river of cash. When this dries up it will fall in a heap.

A VOICE FROM CANADA SAYS THAT, IN SOCIALIZED MEDICINE, WE LOSE A LOT MORE THAN GOOD HEALTH CARE

As a licensed naturopathic doctor in Canada, I'm privy to a lot of the failings of socialized medicine. The only true benefit to Canadians is in the form of emergency medicine. When you are in a motor vehicle accident and clinging to life, it's nice to know there is a safety net to save your life without financially ruining you. BUT the danger in our socialized system is that because everyone perceives it as a "free" system, which couldn't be further from the truth, there is less personal responsibility to act preventatively to take care of one's health, and it's easy to go see the doctor for every little cold, tying up an already overly burdened system. The practitioners in this medical system also lack a certain financial accountability to the patient. If someone doesn't like the medical service I provide, then they won't pay the money to see me again. I also have the freedom to not charge someone if I see fit, as a form of charitability, to a patient or family who I know could use that gift. So I am supporting the healthcare of another out of freedom of choice, because it makes my heart sing to give back to humanity when possible, not siphoned against my will in the form of taxation and applied by a VERY inefficient bureaucratic overlord.

But the medical doctor can have no problem billing for the visit and for the writing of a prescription, and for the ordering of a blood test, and for the reading of a blood test, etc. and rushing you in and out without fully addressing your questions and needs, because if you complain, the system is so overbooked someone else will fill your spot. And for the exorbitant charges that have been billed to the system, the patient doesn't care if they've been ripped off with inefficiency and bad service because IT DIDN'T COME OUT OF THEIR POCKET (at least not directly). So, for both doctor AND patient, much accountability is thrown out the window, leading to massive inefficiency.

While these are all points many people can easily see, there is one that seems heretofore unrecognized. In a government controlled system of any kind, where benefits are received, the cost is loss of freedom and complete access to human rights. When you get a government health card, you sign up to be the "legal representative" of the entity given the same as yours, all capitalized, personified by the ID number associated with your name. This entity is a government creation, and hence has the rights the government ascribes to it. By signing on, you are tacitly agreeing to forego your human rights for these government-ascribed ones. An example of this I see all the time in my practice is that a medical doctor can refuse treatment to a patient if the patient is responsibly supplementing themselves with natural health products and the doctor disagrees with this supplementation due to ignorance of the science behind their healing properties. This then scares most patients to do what the doctor says for fear of losing that doctor and having to go back onto a many-months-long waiting list for another available doctor.

So, if you want the socialized health system to take care of you, you must play by their rules or else they can deny you service. As a human being with basic human rights of equality, they shouldn't be able to show this kind of prejudice, but because you basically give up these rights to take advantage of the government benefits of socialized healthcare, you can no longer plug into those rights. This is the case with anything you register for. You don't register your shoes so the government can't take your shoes from you, even if you're recklessly endangering yourself by walking around with untied laces. However, because you register your car and apply for a license, you've given up absolute rights of ownership and the government can take your car away if they don't like how you are driving (ie not wearing a seatbelt repeatedly, going through a stop sign at an open intersection in the middle of night with no other cars present, etc...). The cost of a government-run system IS loss of rights and freedoms, and any discussion of socialized healthcare needs to discuss the rights and freedoms to be lost. Mr Griffin is so correct in his analysis of government-run healthcare being more susceptible to manipulation by special interests, because special interests can push for monopolization by pushing to classify alternative healing systems as illegal.

In Canada, we've recently lost access to many very effective natural healing compounds because Canada's version of the corrupt FDA (which is under the same Big Pharma control) had deemed these substances as being conveniently unproven as safe, even after years of safe anecdotal use. So, with socialized healthcare comes more control of what you are "allowed" to take to help yourself heal. And control of what we are "allowed" to take provides a much bigger potential benefit to Big Pharma than the current system in America, as much of a rip-off as it is. If the socialized medicine was somehow able to only cover emergency life-threatening procedures (although I'm not sure who could even be trusted with that classification), then perhaps there could be some workability, but otherwise, BEWARE. There are huge pitfalls for giving up rights and freedoms for the feeling that Big Brother will catch us if we fall.

READER BELIEVES QUESTIONER AT MONTANA TOWN HALL WAS A PLANT TO MAKE OBAMA LOOK GOOD.

Greetings: I watched excerpts of the Montana Town Meeting. There was one woman in jeans, plaid shirt and cowboy hat that asked Obama why the insurance rates were so high for her staff and why they were so low for "people who sit on their butts all day in a cubicle working on a computer. My staff is in shape. Not overweight. And it just isn't fair."

I tracked this female down. Her name is Nancy Griffith (maybe Griffin), she owns a building supply business (looks like a multi-million dollar operation in the photos) in Ennis, Montana. Told her, by e-mail, why her insurance rates are higher - because of risk, exposure, etc. Also told her that if her insurance agent had not explained all this to her she should get a new insurance agent.

She did respond. She totally understood the insurance rates, private and L&I. Then wanted to know how much I weigh. She is also a past president of a building association, a Montana Ambassador and very active in the Democratic party.

Her question was obviously all pre-planned to make idiot face look good. Plus, the answer he gave her had nothing to do with the question. Which told me he does not have a clue as to what he's talking about. He does not understand insurance.

How did this guy get elected? I lost complete faith in the American Public when they re-elected Clinton. I could barely understand why anyone voted for that sack of crap the first time. Now this? Either all our elections are rigged or all the people showing up at the town hall meetings did not vote in the past presidential election.

CAN SUE WELLS' STORY BE VERIFIED?

This article is (almost) exactly like an email that I received from a friend several days ago. Unfortunately, his email started out like this:
"This was sent to me by a friend who has a friend in Bozeman MT who was there." Well, this friend of mine is normally quite trustworthy, so I didn't do any further research before forwarding it to my entire list (also including the "friend who has a friend" preface. As a result, one of the skeptics on my list (who is also always hob-nobbing with the local politicans) responded right back to say: "...can this be substantiated? If so, I need to pass it along without your email, of course."

So--I contacted my friend who had sent the email, who then contacted the friend who had sent it to him. Unfortunately, that "friend" merely provided him with your web link story. So--I wondered--did this story, then, originate from "Sue Citizen Wells"? If so, no problem--I'd just send my friend there as well. Problem is, however, that the email that I received spoke of "Bill and I"--while Ms. Wells' article says "Joe and I."
Is there any way you could contact Sue Wells to find out what the truth is? (Perhaps someone changed the name to "protect the innocent"? Or--could it be that someone changed the name and went viral emailing this in order to discredit the story--what do you think?

READER FROM AMSTERDAM DEFENDS GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE
Dear Mr. Griffin,
Last year I wrote to you, expressing my admiration and gratitude for your book on Vitamin B-17. Ever since I receive Unfiltered News, of which the negative tenor sometimes surprises me, especially as to the health care reform. The Health Care Lies, mentioned in this Weekly are, I suspect, instilled into the public by the vested interests in the status quo, and unfortunately many are susceptible to getting upset without any control. But anyone who takes the trouble to read in extenso President Obama's speech for the Annual Conference of the AMA in June 09 must know better. Especially two items I 'd have expected to be welcomed by you, the first being: "taming" the Health Insurance Companies by creating real competition (in price, coverage and quality) by a government-run body, and the second: striving for more choice - even comprising complementary and alternative treatments.

Fear for government-agencies I can imagine, especially in your country, but so far Medicare seems to have won a much better reputation than the Insurance Companies. The complementary and alternative treatments are not yet heralded so far, understandably, but contacts between AAHF and the Administration seem promising.
In my opinion, massive support for this Health Care Reform, coupled with the demand for real health freedom would create the best chance for health freedom ever, whereas failure would close the door forever. With best regards, sincerely yours,

Hello Mr. van der Waals.
There is no doubt that insurance companies stand to lose sizable cash flow from a government-run health-care program, but there is much more to consider than that. The real issue is that concentration of power and money into the hands of any industry will tend to corrupt those who hold that power. This certainly is true of the insurance industry. However, there is far greater concentration of power and money into government and, I think you will agree that this inevitable generates the ultimate corruption. It is hard to think of any government agency that has not, from time to time, been exposed as being riddled with corruption and waste.

I am glad you are familiar with the story of Vitamin B-17 in the control of cancer, because that points up the central fact of which I speak. It is not the insurance industry that attacked natural cancer remedies but governments. Governments always fall prey to corporate predators that fund politicians to write laws to give them advantage over their competitors in the market place, and health care certainly is no exception. Therefore, My objection to government-run health care has nothing to do with the insurance industry. It is based on my conviction that, under socialized medicine, the quality of health care will go down, the cost will go up (paid for by taxes and inflation) and competition among practitioners will completely disappear. So will freedom-of-choice for patients. In other words, I believe that the rosy picture painted by the President is primarily propaganda to sell his program and is the opposite of what will actually materialize.

STAGED OBAMA TOWN HALL MEETING IN MONTANA

By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Joe and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.

On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date.

On about Tuesday Joe found out that they would be holding the "Town Hall" at the airport. (This is only because Joe knows EVERYONE at the airport) Our airport is actually located outside of Belgrade (tiny town) in a very remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote location, and you can not get to it easily. It is totally secluded from the public.
FYI: We have many areas in Belgrade and Bozeman which could have held a large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums). All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED IN!! $$$$

During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly. Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming. Though it was our President coming several expressed how excessive it was, especially during a recession. $$$$$

Late Tuesday/early Wednesday the 12th, they said that tickets would be handed out on Thursday 9am at two locations and the president would be arriving around 12:30 Friday.

Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm......900 tickets just DISAPPEARED.

This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama. Montana has some of the best beef in the nation!!! And it would have been really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the Recession?? Just think...with all of the traveling the White House is doing. $$$$$ One can only imagine what else we are paying for.

On Friday Joe and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that wanted to protest Obama's spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal) and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd.

The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned Parenthood folks were with them.....professing abortion rights with their T-shirts and preprinted signs. (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to protest in ANOTHER area)

Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man.

So we had Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you name it. There was even a guy from Texas who had been driving through. He found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to protest.

If you are wondering about the press.....Well, all of the major networks were over by that remote hangar I mentioned. They were conveniently parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away. None of these crowds were even visible to them. I have my doubts that they knew anything about the crowds.

We did have some local news media around us from this state and Idaho. Speaking of the local media...they were invited. However, all questions were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn't want anyone to have to think off the top of their head.

It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make it appear that Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare. Even those people that talked about their insurance woes........the White House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee) and asked for names. Then the White House asked those folks to come. Smoke and mirrors...EVERYTHING was staged!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House. The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not living in the United States of America, more like the USSR!! I was physically nauseous. Joe and I have been around when Presidents or Heads of State visit. It has NEVER been like this. I am truly very frightened for our country. America needs your prayers and your voices. If you care about our country please get involved. Know the issues.
