HEALTHCARE SOCIALISTS ARE IN A FEEDING FRENZY
Obama and Congress are now hashing out legislation to “require all Americans
to purchase health insurance.” This could not be a more obvious
transfer-of-wealth scheme for socialist institutional parasites at the
expense of the quality and availability of health care.
Under the ridiculous promise of “social equity” in health care the plan
involves, of course, a MASSIVE transfer of wealth to unproductive middlemen
who neither provide nor consume health care but who consume and rob most of
the revenue from it.
There is no plan to swing the supply-demand scale in favor of payers, there
is no plan to train, certify and license more health care providers, there
is no plan to open more hospitals, clinics and doctor’s offices, there is no
plan to reduce demand, yet somehow there is supposed to suddenly be a bunch
more health care for everybody! Show me how that is possible!
More people will be demanding health care and fewer professionals will have
the incentive to provide it. Both supply and demand will rocket in the WRONG
DIRECTION and the political hacks in government are trying to convince us
that this will make health care costs GO DOWN! … trying to convince us that
America’s healthcare system will somehow get better! Obama and Congress take
us for imbeciles as they say with a straight face "This will provide
healthcare to everyone” as if centralized super-wealthy "managed healthcare"
interests no longer had an economic strangle-hold on our politicians.
So we’re going to decimate the health care industry and then, what, Barack
Obama’s “Healthcare Czar” will spread around the remnants of our healthcare
infrastructure among the population with an “equitable redistribution”,
according to him?
Problem: The poor have inadequate healthcare.
Solution: Pass a law forcing them to buy insurance.
Reality: Creating insurance companies does not create healthcare.
Problem: Healthcare costs too much.
Solution: Suddenly give healthcare to everybody without creating more
healthcare.
Reality: Nationalize what is left of our healthcare infrastructure and
transfer most of the revenue to non-producers.
It’s time to give Obama and Congress a whippin’.

THE MYTH OF A SOCIAL CONTRACT
"Social contract" is a myth. No contract is legal that has such inequality
in bargaining power, in which one party is lied to in order to secure his
participation in the "contract", offer and acceptance (and, no, being forced
to pay a tax and get a "license" is not voluntary acceptance of an "offer"),
mutual "consideration" (one party cannot force the other to give something
for something of disproportionately lesser or no value), and the assumption
of good faith on the part of both parties. The idea of social contract
simply excuses the enslavement of a people to obligations engendered from an
open ended "contract" that benefit a political class and their cronies to
the peoples own detriment. This idea is taught to them from early childhood
so it is not questioned.

CROWDER'S EXPOSE OF CANADIAN HEALTH CARE WAS FAR FROM ACCURATE
From Unfiltered News I reference an article 'Great undercover expose' of
Government health care' in which Steven Crowder visits various medical
facilities in Canada. Here are some facts sent to me by a friend whom I have
known since our RAF days in the early sixties. He has lived in Canada for
almost 40 years and is a Canadian citizen. He saw Steven Crowder being
interviewed by Hannity on Fox News after he returned to the US with his
alleged 'survey. I would like to share some of his observations.
First, Crowder was raised in Quebec where the alleged 'survey' took place.
Since Quebec is the one and only French speaking Province, why would Crowder
complain about the language? Second, they were supposedly using Canadian
Health cards, which would be invalid & illegal as they are not residents of
any Canadian Province. Did they realistically expect to be treated with
respect and receive free medical care for fictitious ailments? Third, they
went to a private clinic where, as in the USA, you pay for the services of a
private clinic! The ER they visited deal with, as in the USA, emergencies,
not time wasting young men with faked ailments wanting blood tests. Blood
tests in Canada are usually fast & completely free for those with valid
documents! Also blood tests are done in a lab, not in a clinic or emergency
room....unless there is a genuine emergency.
Again, in any given study or survey of conditions in countries outside of
the US, or anywhere else for that matter, we need facts. Facts that can be
determined from several reliable sources for verification and credibility.
Facts that can be established by professionals with credibility, not
flippant young amateurs looking for attention. My friend contends that the
Crowder team were lucky they were not arrested. I agree Ed, their hidden
camera survey was amusing & entertaining, but in view of their motives, it
cannot be taken literally or seriously, and health care is a serious issue
and of concern to serious minded people. Finally, speaking as a Brit, I can
assure everyone and anyone that the American medical system and health
quality, although far from perfect, is (still) one of the best in the world.

TO ASK FOR A PERMIT TO CARRY IS TO AGREE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A RIGHT TO

I'm watching Cass Sunstein give a talk on the second Amendment on Blip TV.
All this debate about the 2nd! It seems to me that the authors of the Bill
of Rights worked awful hard to make the 2nd as arbitrary and vague as
possible. To me it is an individual right, no question. But isn't the 2nd
Amendment a perfect example of collectivism vs. individualism if there was
one?
There can't be a Militia without individuals who are "keeping and bearing
arms". What is so difficult to understand about that? I don't think that
many people really believe we have rights, only privileges granted by the
government. A perfect example is the concealed carry permit which the
permittee blatantly agrees a permit is required to carry a gun, therefore
agreeing that the 2nd "shall not be infringed" is meaningless.

FERGUSON RESPONDS TO FLAHERTY
Dear Mr. Flaherty,
I took a long time to get around to answering your comments to me via
Unfiltered News because there seemed no point. But I finally decided that
I'd try to find a basis of common agreement.
How about this: Mike, do you own yourself? If not, who does? And before you
say God or the government, consider what the definition of ownership is.
Essentially, ownership is "the right or ability to determine the disposition
of." Whether you feel that there is some other guiding principle or being or
set of agreements which influences your life, you at least have the illusion
of free will. If you don't consider you have free will, why bother talking
at all? If you don't agree to something according to your free will, yet you
are being expected to fulfill "obligations" which you would not otherwise
engage in, the simplicity is that you are victim of aggressive force, or
fraud, or both. I think that if you examine this closely you will see no
rational way around this conclusion. There are, however, lots of emotional
ways around the conclusion. I hope you'll find your way passed those and get
down to a rational examination of the subject. I highly recommend that you
thoroughly explore this principle of self-ownership. If you can establish
rationally for yourself who owns you, many things become clear, and many
things which seemed clear before are revealed as leaps of faith.
For instance, you will see that all the points you listed as evidence of
"social contracts" (e.g., SSN, driver's licenses, business licenses, FRNs,
etc.) are mandated by force or fraud. If I have a Social Security Card
because my parents signed me up, how does that obligate me? If I have a
"drivers license" because otherwise I won't be able to transport myself
without risking fines and imprisonment, how does that obligate me? If I have
a bank account because I've been left no other means to transact exchanges
between myself and otherwise voluntary parties, how does that obligate me to
fund wars which I detest, support the highest level of imprisoned persons
for victimless crimes in history, etc.? Each of the other points you mention
break down very clearly in the same manner.
The point is that "individualism" is based upon the concept of
self-ownership. "Collectivism" is based upon the idea that there is some
nebulous, unaccountable "we" which somehow has concrete existence, even
though you can never establish who "we" really consists of.
Just because these "social contracts" have a lot of agreement and irrational
force backing them up doesn't mean they are valid, or even real in fact.
Just because one is so used to the idea of government that it seems like
natural law, doesn't mean that government is either right or necessary.
This is not, as Ed concluded (to my consternation), a semantic problem. It
is a very real difference. It is the point on which the entire concept of
"limited government" breaks down. As well-intentioned as all those
campaigning for limited government are, it seems that there is a hesitance
to fully validate the principle of self-ownership. Anyone exploring the
topic of government and where it has gone wrong, and how to improve the
situation, really should examine the question "Who owns you?" in depth and
see what aligns with whatever conclusion you come up with.
It truly is possible to simply "let go" of the idea that "government" is
either valid or necessary. When sufficient numbers of people have released
this idea and begun to take full responsibility for their lives and
decisions, we'll see a real step forward in the progress of humanity.

STUDENTS LEARN WHY SOCIALISM FAILS
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never
failed a single student �but once had failed an entire class. That class had
insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one
would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class to
test this theory. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive
the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the
first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who
studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had
studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free
ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was
happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted
in hard feelings, and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All
failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism
would also ultimately fail because, when the reward is great, the effort to
succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will
try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.

Ed, the 'castration' comment by Sotomayer, quoted in Snopes, is nothing but
a distraction from all the rest of the Snopes' article which is one example
after another of her blatant racism and sexism. One tends to skip over all
that obvious racist material for the sensational 'castration' quote which
appears to be from a 'spoof' article.
What better way to subvert all the OTHER Sotomayer racist quotes than to put
out a Johnny-come-lately 'spoof' that is SO outrageous that it keeps all
eyes and ears focused on it as an EASILY debunked 'spoof' instead of her
multitude of past racist and sexist quotes.
Gee . . . I wonder if the new 'Hate Crimes Bill' will apply to Judge
Sotomayer? In the end, it doesn't really matter a 'hill of beans' because
the Illuminists will put onto the Court whomever they want and neither you
nor I will have anything to say about it.

4 THUMBS-DOWN ON SNOPES
I have to comment on your second to last story today that is written by
Snopes. I no longer have anything to do with Snopes. They are
pro-government, pro-Israel, and pro-War on Terror. I have found them to be
very disingenuous and, quite frankly, propagandistic for the system. They
actually believe 9/11 as the Commission Report states it. They may be
occasionally accurate on topics about anything that has no
corporate-governmental-political interest, but I can’t really prove that.
The system has Sotomayer as a possibly good voice for progressives, but now
that Snopes is behind her, I’ll have to assume she is another force for
evil.

We agree that Snopes is naive, at the least, about political issues and
values, but we were convinced that, in this particular case, they were right
when they said the "castrate white males" statement was a hoax. That does
not mean Snopes is necessarily pro Sotomayer, although they could be. Our
reason for including their report was simply to warn people not to fall for
the fake quote. Truth is truth regardless of the source. I wish we had a
more reliable source for such things. Anybody out there want to take up that
task?

UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE IS NOT THE SAME AS UNIVERSAL HEALTH
Dear Mr. Griffin and Unfiltered News readers:
Since we seem to be rapidly approaching an era of "universal" (i. e.,
mandatory) health coverage, with all of its totalitarian ramifications, I
think many more people need to understand that our "health-care" system has
had very little to do with health in the first place. To me that is an
Orwellian "Big Lie," in the same way that toxic drugs are euphemistically
called "medications."
The root of the word "health" is "whole," as in a state of wholeness,
whereas the primary orientation of the medical cartel lies in the mere
amelioration of symptoms--stop the pain, cut out the tumor, lower the
glucose, etc. In many if not most cases, the treatment leads to even more
problems. Little concern is evidenced regarding what caused the "dis-ease"
in the first place, or in getting the patient to a state of wholeness,
whence he won't need the system any more.
I recently read that the average annual per capita "health" expenditure in
this country is $8160. Either we are the sickest population who ever lived,
and/or we are not getting much "health" for all that money. If we did, the
cost ought to drop drastically in the following year! We need to take more
responsibility for our own "wholeness," and understand that the road to
health is not paved with drugs produced by some pharmo-factory, but with
nutrients augmented by a few simple agents thoughtfully provided by Mother
Nature.

COLD DAYS IN CHICAGO DO NOT DEBUNK GLOBAL WARMING
Greetings, Mr Griffin.
First of all I want to thank you for what you have done and are doing. And I
share what I can from each newsletter I get in my email.
The only problem I have with the above is that it is focused on Chicago and
that region. I am well aware, as I watch the Weather Channel very
frequently, that the Great Lakes and Northeast regions have not been having
much "summer" weather; temperatures have been below average for some time
now. Meanwhile, however, look at other parts of the country that are having
an awful lot of above average temperatures, particularly in Texas and
Oklahoma; southern Texas is also now in a terrible drought. I have also been
made aware that GLOBALLY recent temperatures have been much more above
normal than below normal. Global warming is happening; however, I do not
believe that human produced fossil fuel (CO2) emissions are greatly
responsible for that. There are many other factors that affect our
climate/temperatures much more than CO2 production can. So I am obviously in
disagreement with Al Gore and many others on this issue. But I cannot ignore
that the planet is in a "warming trend". I just don't agree with the
"alleged causes" of it. The entire solar system is experiencing warming, and
some of it seems to be coming from within the planets themselves, although
this could actually be caused by certain cosmic rays as well as our sun.
My point is basically that I don't think you should use local or even
regional trends to represent overall global trends. There will always be
locations that have below average temperatures for periods of time. There
will be places where ice and snow will increase for a time. So there is a
need to go above the trees and see the whole forest, so to speak. This
limited-area kind of reasoning to "debunk" global warming will not serve
you. Global warming IS happening; however, the purported CAUSE is very
suspect. The focus needs to be on what is really causing the warming, rather
than denying that the warming is occurring. Look at planetary-scale and
solar system-scale (and even beyond solar system-scale) phenomena; I believe
you will find that these are what is causing the warming.

Thank you, David. I agree with your critique. We’ll be more restrained in
the future. However, I suspect that, if we apply this same good sense to
weather reports world around, we wll find that the planet is not warming any
longer but has gone into a cooling cycle. That has corresponded with a
decrease in solar flares. Of course, the flares could start up again as many
predict, in which case warming would return, but I am not convinced that the
previous warming is continuing at present.
Nevertheless, you are right about the inadvisability of using local
phenomena as evidence of either global warming or cooling. In the future we
will limit our reporting to issues involving global trends or regional
trends IF they are relevant to offsetting other regional reports. For
example, we often hear of melting ice caps at one pole of the Earth while
news of thickening caps at the other pole go unreported.
We have collected a good representation of important news stories and
scientific reports supporting the conclusion that the Earth has been in a
recent cooling cycle and also debunking the myth of man-made global-warming
here.
