Have you done any research regarding the spiritual nature/root at the heart
of so many of the issues we face today? If so, what are your thoughts on the
spiritual background concerning the New World Order? I believe based on the
evidence that it is Luciferian (the light bearer) in nature. Can you comment
on the New World Order, and the New Age (world religion)?

I see the spiritual component of our global battle to be very important, and
I suspect that there is a strong occult connection, although I don't know
how one could go about proving that to the satisfaction of skeptics. Even
without that, however, I do not think that the resolution of the conflict
for freedom lies solely in theology. Advocates of the The New Order want the
collectivist state to become the operational equivalent and replacement of
all present religions. Loyalty to any other body of ideas is viewed by them
as competition to their absolute rule.

must say that I am in complete agreement with your insight concerning the
use of the name "Protectorate" to describe what our founders had in mind for
the nature of our federal "government". I should add in addition that the
one concept that appeared in your writing that I regarded as something of a
revelation was the notion that a priori corrupt personages would make it
their business to invade public office for the plunder that was there
available, the reverse causation sequence of Lord Acton's much more widely
known "Power Corrupts". I also agree that "Who watches the watchers?" is the
key issue. You have created Freedom Force International to accomplish that
purpose.

TEACHER HAS FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUPPRESSION OF QUIGLEY'S BOOK
Mr. Griffin,
I'm currently reading your book, Creature of Jekyll Island. I'm a public
high school history/government/economics teacher. I'm considering assigning
your book to my honors students next year (Aug. 09).
On page 213 is a photo of Professor Quigley formerly of Georgetown
University. It mentions that his book, Tragedy and Hope, was
suppressed. I met Professor Quigley in February of 1971 while taking
students to Washington, D.C. for a Close Up Foundation meeting with
government officials. I went to meet Professor Quigley on a Friday afternoon
and found him in his office. We chatted for quite some time. We spoke about
his book being suppressed and he showed me letters from librarians saying
they could not purchase a copy to replace copies stolen from their library.
I was 24 at that time and probably didn't fully understand the implications
of this suppression.
On page 230 of your text, you discuss the ultimate obstacle of the cartel is
government that doesn't want to finance debt; or incur more. It led me to
rethink Eisenhower's warning about the alliance of the military-industrial
complex and Jim Garrison's search for the real assassin in Dallas, 1963. The
first American troops to be removed from Vietnam took place just a few
months earlier.

HOW TO GET GRIFFIN ON MAINSTREAM MEDIA
Dear Ed,
In reading the many & varied comments & views from our fellow
members/readers, it is clear that the passion & patriotism they convey is
very real. We should all be encouraged by their spirit & enthusiasm and
continue to encourage one another. In one short letter Cindy C asked why our
friend G. Edward Griffin has not yet been interviewed by any of the talking
heads on Fox News. I'm sure many others are asking the same question. This
would indeed be the ideal kind of exposure we need to more effectively get
the word out to the unsuspecting public. However, because the media (which
includes the Fox Network) is owned by the opposition, they are on a short
leash. That is to say O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity & others are only allowed to
broadcast 'censored' news. At a certain point they are not allowed to cross
the line. Notice that when they do get too close to the line, there is
little, or no follow up on the issue, or they conveniently launch into in
commercial break. For example in one Beck episode he said; " the Federal
Reserve was not Federal", but there was little, or no effective follow up
later!
Since Fox favors the Republican wing, may I suggest the following: Lou Dobbs
claims to be an Independent. Independents tend to want facts & solutions to
our nations woes and they number close to one third of the voters, should
they ever choose to vote. If as many serious minded Freedom Force members as
possible were to write to Lou Dobbs about getting Mr. Griffin on his
Network, there is a good chance that some of these letters would get through
the Network screening process and reach Lou. Perhaps this suggestion may
seem somewhat unorthodox, but it is sometimes ' thinking outside the box '
that gets results!

Napolitano and was about ten minutes to tell it like it really is regarding
the Fed. Napolitano was receptive and seemed to be in strong agreement. It
remains to be seen, of course, if the program producers will schedule follow
up interviews.

pandemic (as it is called). How many know that this is a man-made and

suspect) that the vaccines are intended to spread the pandemic and will be
the root cause of the severity of the resultant flu? ... and that they are
to be avoided at all costs, as they are dangerous and death-dealing?

It appears that you already have succinctly expressed your feelings. My
opinion is that subscribers to Unfiltered News and members of Freedom
Force are well aware of the political motivations behind the Swine Flu
so-called pandemic and are very suspicious about the vaccine becoming a
carrier or aggravator of the disease. The general public, however, hasn’t a
clue. They still are living in the “all-is-what-it-seems” twilight zone.

PREDICTIONS IN "CREATURE" CONTINUE TO AMAZE
Dear Mr. Griffin,
Ever since reading your treatise on the Federal Reserve, I have been so
moved that I have purchased over a dozen copies to share with friends. After
pointing out the original date of publication, I have suggested to all of my
friends that they start reading their books at Chapter 24 (which could
easily have been culled from the pages of 2008 editions of the Wall
Street Journal) and then go back and start at the beginning to see how
we got here.
Anyhow, because of the insights that I've gleaned from your research and
writing, I have developed a keen eye for stories that demonstrate evidence
of the further progression towards the goals of the elite. So, imagine my
surprise when I read the story today about a Federal program that could be
described as a significant step towards the nationalization of the housing
industry and the gradual elimination of personal property. And the amazing
thing is that it is positioned as a convenient way for "troubled homeowners"
to "save their homes" from foreclosure! This is the one prediction that you
had made which I really had some trouble envisioning! So, your
prognostications continue to amaze me.

A CONSTITUTIONAL MILITIA WOULD BE THE BACKBONE OF A PROTECTORATE
I really found this to be a fascinating read. I just have one thing I'm
curious about though, why did you not go into the topic of "The Militia of
The Several States"? The true constitutional militia. It would lower taxes
dramatically because "We The People" would be the ones taking care of most
of the basic functions that people are paid to do as government employee's.
We would need no FEMA or similar high dollar organizations. We would not
have to worry about disarmament or confiscation of property because we
ourselves would be the protectorate. We would be more informed on things
going on because we would be more involved, ballots could be counted and
double counted by the militia. Every home with an able bodied male would be
able to vote more effectively. Due to the difference in needs, technology,
population, etc. of historical U.S. militias, not everyone would constantly
be busy working with the militia so, things in our day to day engagements
would be normal. They would be similar to the reserves in the sense that
they would go for training periodically. When under emergency alarm then all
would muster. Just as traditional gun control would have it everyone would
be required to have their own firearm to have at home as well as other
pertinent tools to the individuals functions in the militia, And much much

A GOVERNMENT IS A GOVERNMENT - NOT

Last week I published an analysis of Statism Is Dead, a video
advocating a form of anarchy called Anarcho Capitalism as a desirable
alternative for government. In my response I offered an entirely new
alternative called a protectorate, a political structure in which the state
would be prohibited from doing anything except to protect the lives,
liberty, and property of its citizens.
When this concept was first presented to a Libertarian friend, he objected
that, as long as the state has the authority to use coercion against people,
it is still a government, even though it may be restricted to a defensive
role. He wrote: "A government is a government. Even 'anarcho-capitalist
Protection Agencies' are governments! ... If they are to pursue justice,
they are still obliged to initiate force against suspects, even if they
aren't clients."
My friend was focused on the old vocabulary and had not yet opened his mind
to the possibility of a genuine new entry into the political lexicon. What I
am presenting is not just a re-hash of the old concept in which talk about
"limited government" is expressed in terms of quantity (how much
government), instead of purpose (what shall government do). With the old
concept, he would be right: government is government. A lot or a little, it
always suffers from mission creep and will eventually become tyrannical.
However, if it is limited to a negative, defensive function, then there is
little room for mission creep because there is no possibility for legalized
plunder, which is the primary incentive for expanding government in the
first place.
An aircraft with no wings or tail, that cannot fly but is limited solely to
ground travel is not an aircraft any longer. It is an automobile. If a truck
is deprived of its steering ability, and its rubber tires are replaced by
steel flanges that run on rails, it is no longer a truck. It is a train.
Likewise, a state that has been deprived of its authority to use coercion
for any purpose except the protection the life, liberty, and property of its
citizens, cannot be classified as a government. It is a protectorate.
If we and our neighbors hire a security guard to patrol our neighborhood,
and if we authorize him to use force against intruders for the restricted
purpose of protecting our lives, liberty, and property (each of us has that
right of self defense, so we can delegate it to the guard), that does not
give him the authority to govern us - with the obvious narrow exception of
insuring that we, ourselves, do not threaten our neighbors. When our
contract with guards or state administrators is strictly for our defense, we
do not create a government. It is a protectorate.
This is not a new concept in political literature but, in this context, it
is a new word. It is far overdue because, without it, it has been
impossible to even talk about the negative concept of the state without
resorting to long and cumbersome sentences of explanation. At last we have
the right word.

NOT FIGHTING CITY HALL, BECOMING CITY HALL

I so enjoyed your speech at Eastern University. Once again, it is because of
you that I am involved in the Freedom Movement and threw my hat in the
political ring. I can't thank you enough for educating me. And you're
correct in that the missing piece to the puzzle is that we need to get
involved ourselves: "An Idea Whose Time Has Come."
I spoke with you a little about my being elected to the Republican Party
State Committee and what we (Rob Eichmann, Jr. and I) have been trying to do
in New Jersey. We represent the Republican Party from Gloucester County. ...
Rob and I feel that the Republican Party in New Jersey has lost its
identity, and many of the candidates endorsed by the Republican Party are no
different than democrats. I understand the reason for having identical, yet
what appears to be different, political parties ("Tragedy and Hope" written
by Professor Carroll Quigley). Here is a chance for two of us to help make a
difference in our state.
What is happening in the moderate State of New Jersey is that followers of
Robert Welch, G Edward Griffin and Ron Paul are making inroads in the
political arena. I suspect it will get ugly for awhile, and then we can "get
back to our roots" and once again follow the U.S. Constitution. That is what
I hope will happen in New Jersey. I am sending this information to you
because I thought you may be interested in what is taking place in New
Jersey politics.
Besides Rob Eichmann, Jr. and I being elected to a four-year term as State
Committee members, we also have a candidate for sheriff and a candidate for
County Freeholder, and I am again a candidate for Township Committee. The
information you share with us is having a ripple effect. I thought you might
get a kick out of hearing how you have affected some of us and how we are
helping to implement change in our small part of the world.

I have come to the conclusion the the Court is second only to Congress in
the number of lies told to the people of The United States and second to
none in the destruction of this great Republic. As anyone who has spent any

an absolute contradiction of the Constitution, not to mention a repudiation
of the Declaration of Independence.

On the same newsletter, in which you responded to me, a gentlemen by the
name of "Stan" wrote a comment that the "Owner of Fox News is member of CFR/Trilateral
Commission." Here is what he wrote in dicta:
"Opinions are usually based on observation and shared observations with like
minded people usually tend to lend more credibility to the issues in
question. Facts are another matter. First, we need to establish what facts
pertaining to what issues. Then, where can these facts be found? And how do
we gain access to these facts? Further questions arise as to the credibility
& source of these facts, who documented & compiled the data? How can they be
satisfactorily verified? One can easily begin to understand that providing
PROOF about the status & background of any given personality is a daunting
task."
Obviously I am not the only one thinking like this. So too does Stan. Your
response shows nothing factual, other than reaching hyped-up personal
conclusions that are just opinions. Why can you not "establish what [are
the] facts?". Your ad hominem attacks saying that I am "delusion" and that I
have "embarassed" myself are just an unfair way of you, not answering the
challenge. You then say that I would "believe corporate media actors to
deliver" me news. I do submit to you that, by personally being subscribed to
the Unfiltered News, do you really have the nerve to say that?
Offer me something from a primary source that shows that Glenn Beck is what
you claim him to be, rather than offering me what your brain antenna recept.
This is what needs to change in this movement! Establish facts and not offer
more opinions, which is something we have enough of in this movement. Just
because he cried once on his show - is irrebutable proof that he is part of
an operative group? That's just hogwash!
I am not ignoring reality here, I am just questioning your observations. I
certainly do not question your sincerity, but I am just trying to show you,
as well as others, a growing cancer that needs to be fixed within this
movement and that is FACT CHECKING. And finally, going to your poor example
of Michael Jackson. I am no fan of Michael Jackson, but to give you a legal
answer, he was acquited by a jury of his peers, when his "lunacy" was placed
on trial before a jury.
Who knows - now that I a disagree with you, I too, would be labeled a CIA
operative in your mind, merely because I disagree and challenge your
questionable conclusion.

LARRY RESPONDS TO KAMAL
GLEN BECK LIKES THE CFR
Kemal,
I don't know what this discussion is about, and I agree with you 1000% that
personal opinions mean little. But, I would like to offer the following
about Glenn Beck.
I attended the OKC Tea Party on 4-15. That afternoon, I started back home
and my route was east on I-40. I was about an hour out from Ft.
Smith, AR, and was channel surfing on the radio looking for a talk show,
when I found a station with a Beck program. I heard him say on that day as
follows: that the CFR and Tri-Lat Comm were only concerned for the
well-being of the American people, were friends of the American people, and
only wanted to help improve their lives. Based on what I have learned about
these organizations, what Beck said was false. I now consider Beck to be in
the enemy's camp.
I only know what I heard. I cannot produce that radio program, and proving
what I heard can only come from Beck's lips if he says it again, and perhaps
writes such in a letter. But, I am no fan of Beck, and believe he has
another agenda.

GRIFFIN MEETS MOLYNEUX!
Ed Griffin meets Stefan Molyneux in this wonderful dialogue; I am very glad
that these issues are being brought up to the Freedom Force
membership [and readers of Unfiltered News]. Here are some questions that
remain unanswered:
Is a man's right in his property truly, incontrovertibly, an inalienable
right?
If some elites succeed in forming a political government that claims
sovereignty over my property, against my wishes, and issues rules in
conflict with my own rules, whose rules take precedence? Would the
proposed "protectorate" leave me alone if I asserted sovereignty over my own
property and ignored the various rules it emits and fees it levies?
Furthermore, I am told that my final recourse to rejecting the
legitimate sovereignty of an organization that would murder me if I
resist its robbery is to leave my homestead behind and find another
place to live. (Even the proposed "protectorate" would have to be
tax-funded, if it is to be a monopoly provider of political liberty in
the sense of "limited government".)
Assume that I were to resign myself to this apparent contradiction to
the notion of inalienable property rights -- though it is unclear why
"keeping my property" and "being left alone" must be mutually exclusive.
Then what if there is nowhere more free for me to go? What if every
other State has closed its borders to people like me -- for example,
through international agreements not to harbor "tax evaders" or
"political protestors"?
Why should my only options be to "find the door" -- assuming a way out still
remains -- or to "stay and fight", with the inescapable
consequences of taking on an entire gang dedicated to preserving the
appearance of omnipotence?
Isn't there a third option: that the legitimacy of government, or of any
other association, is fundamentally defined by whether it is required to
leave alone those who object to it?
This idea of a "protectorate" is not a new idea at all as long as I am
forced to pay it and forced to accept its services on its terms if I
want to keep my property. These two seemingly innocuous powers are all any
government needs to grow from the smallest "protectorate" seed to the most
totalitarian "empire".
Paper constitutions have the same long-term value as paper money; also, like
paper money, they lend a false sense of security to the holder. What
constitution has ever kept the government from rewriting or discarding it
throughout history? Just look at Latin America and Europe: one could make a
bonfire with the constitutions they have gone through in the last 500 years.
Every communist regime in Africa shrouds itself both with monetary and with
constitutional paper.
But the heart of the matter is this: Concentrated power that legalizes
robbery to fund itself will always win in the end. It always wins
because the State steals from those who work, so that State-connected
interests do not need to work to put food on the table, and can thus occupy
their days working to consolidate their power. The consolidated power is
eventually turned on those whom the original, limited power was intended to
serve. And because the victims have to work for a living, they do not have
the means of fighting back.
We know that this power cartel won't let anything as quaint as a set of
written rules stand in its way. So do we really want to be advocating aiding
and abetting something that will become the worst nightmare of generations
down the road?
Imagine how the Founders, with the exception of Alexander Hamilton, would
react if they were to observe what their little experiment mutated into,
despite the efforts of probably the finest team of governmental engineers in
history. Had they foreseen what would become of the U.S. government, I
believe the convention in Philadelphia would have been called off.
We are enlightened beyond any generation that came before. Let's use our
unique perspective to try new ways of doing things, instead of
staying on the same old treadmill. Disagree? Fine. I just hope you'll
leave me alone to do things my way on my own property; that's all I ask.
Is that "anarchy"? I believe it is nothing more than the most
fundamental of all liberties: the right to freely disassociate.

LOYALTY CANNOT BE COMPELLED
A rather whimsical ruling by the Supreme Court; nothing in the Constitution
prohibits any state, or group of states, from exiting the union, which was a
critical issue for Abraham Lincoln. ... The federal government was not given
the power in the Constitution to retain states which wish to leave, but the
ability for states to leave, if they wish, is at least implied by the Tenth
Amendment; while I've not read the brief as yet, my money says that Texas
did not rely upon the Tenth Amendment in its secession. The forced retention
of secessionist states by force or decree is ludicrous, since compelled
loyalty is a false loyalty upon its face.

ABOUT THE INDICTMENT OF THE BROWNS
Dear Ed,
I appreciate all the alternative news you present in your 'Reality Zone' e-zine.
Although I don't subscribe to any of the mass propaganda resources, this is
the only news I read regularly. I read the Brown's conviction article with
interest. There are a number of points in the article that are notable:
1. The Browns live in NH, the only state where there didn't used to be gun
regulations. Yet, they had their 2nd Amendment guarantees entirely violated
by an 'out of control' federal government, assisted by the COUNTY SHERIFF
(who was traditionally supposed to be 'the law of the land', as well as
their last line of defense against government corruption).
2. The sneaky tactics utilized by the federal government to 'peacefully'
take them into custody were reprehensible. I suppose they would have lost
their aura of legitimacy had they initiated another Waco.
3. They had no organized help from their neighbors: "United we stand,
divided we fall".
4. The federal prosecutor debased them in the media with a post-trial
comment to the effect that the feds were 'upholding the rule of law'. Had
the feds been doing such, they would never have approached the Browns for
anything, whether tax-related or firearms-related. Does the news ever
present the BILLIONS of $ of ANNUALLY UNPAID tax revenues that their own
people NEVER pay, but are LEGALLY REQUIRED to pay? We do not, b/c these
'public spectacles' are designed by the police state to intimidate the
people and control them through their minds by fear, while keeping them
ignorant and divided. The feds were clearly in violation of THEIR OWN tax
laws and THEIR OWN OATHS OF OFFICE regarding the 2nd Amendment. So were all
the other 'legal officials' involved in this travesty of 'law and order'.
How can that be right?
5. All of the news articles about the Browns have been severely biased in
favor of the federal tyranny, presenting the feds as being legitimate and
'law-upholding'; when in fact the federal tyranny is LAWLESS. They break the
letter of the law and violate our rights B/C THEY CAN, not b/c it's right.
WHO is there to hold them to account for all their policy-driven
lawlessness? Surely not a divided American public. I have personal knowledge
of the facts on how brainwashed the federal employees and officers are. I
wonder why they aren't held to the same standards of 'knowledge' and
'behavior' as the courts hold 'the people' to?
6. I attempted to contact the author of the article (David Tirrell-Wysocki),
but have been unable to find any contact information on the internet. It
seems good to me to contact the journalist who wrote the article, and then
question them directly, instead of leaving comments in an online blog. I
wish to inquire why they ALWAYS presnt PARTIAL facts in a BIASED manner,
without ANY regard for the LAW and the RIGHTS of the people. Instead, they
spin government allegiance instead of allegiance to GOD, the Creator of all
our rights and of law and order. I wonder why I can hardly ever contact
these writers; and when I do, they ALWAYS refuse to answer the 'hard
questions'?
Thanks again for spreading around alternative news, much of which would
never make the main media channels.

Aloha Mr. Griffin,
I appreciate your newsletter and especially your thoughtful commentary. I
write to you today in response to John Ferguson's response to your critique
of Stefan Molyneux's Statism is Dead video series.
I would encourage Mr. Ferguson to continue studying these issues and would
highly recommend the philosophers mentioned in this article on the social
contract: http://www.constitution.org/soclcont.htm
To give a complete response would likely take hours to complete and so I
intend here to cover the basics. So my focus will only on the question of
whether or not Mr. Ferguson signed a "Social Contract." I would contend that
he did and is not even aware of it.
I would like to ask Mr. Ferguson a few questions:
Does he have a Social Security Card?
Does he have any bank accounts, credit cards, mortgages, etc.?
Does he have a State issued Driver's License? Registration?
Does he maintain any professional licenses with his state?
Does he have a voter registration filed in his state?
Does he use Federal Reserve Notes in the conduct of his trade or business?
Is he a United States Citizen?
This last one is a "gimme"... if he has answered yes to the other questions
he is a de-facto citizen of the United States. If Mr. Ferguson, or anyone
else, for that matter, has answered "yes" to each of these questions than he
has signed the Social Contract with the United States Government.
