WHAT'S WRONG WITH PASTORS HELPING TO DISARM THE PUBLIC UNDER MARTIAL LAW?
I'm a pastor of a Christian church. I watched the video about Christian
pastors being recruited to help disarm the public after Hurricane Katrina. I
got the feeling from the video that this was a bad thing. But I'm confused
as to why it is a bad thing to disarm people who are panicked and therefore
dangerous to one another. It seems that Christians particularly should be
people who would be okay with being unable to defend themselves. After all,
Christ commanded Peter to put his sword away, and early Christians went to
the lions rather than defend themselves. Maybe you could help me understand
why it is so important that we not let the government take away our guns..

CENSORSHIP ALIVE AND WELL IN AMERICA Mr. Griffin,
I thought I would share this tidbit with you, as it is your uploaded video (Katanga,
the Untold Story of U.N. Betrayal) to Google that I shared in this post
to the History Channel that was deleted. I find it stunning that I'm
censored almost always anywhere on-line where I share the 6 minute clip of
Ezra Taft Benson, too explosive perhaps to be tolerated? At any rate, thank
you so much for your great information, your many years of exposing the
"hidden things of darkness" that must come to light.
Here is a post I sent out recently explaining the complete censorship of

THE BANKS VS A SOLVENT UNITED STATES
I'm writing about what I believe is the strategy of the banking elite. Up to
now I've heard that America will be destroyed by the personal and national
debt that makes our self destructive economy run. It suddenly occurred to me
that that's the whole point.
America has been used and the general public have not been asked whether or
not they approve. America has been used to force the third world into
insurmountable debt (See John Perkins' Confessions of an Economic Hitman).
Third World countries have been corrupted into taking huge national loans
that create debt that cannot possibly be serviced by their economies. As a
result, the countries default and give up their natural resources and the
labour of their citizens for the benefit of multinational corporations who's
only consideration is the bottom line. Wars are even run by corporations
now, and the bill is paid by US citizens. I've understood that fact but I
hadn't gone any further into the subject. The question I suddenly asked
myself is "Why?" and here's what I've come up with:
I've always had the impression that Americans felt themselves invincible and
the Republic would survive because God wanted it that way and the
Costitution guaranteed it.... but America is the last great threat to the
banking elite and that threat must be removed. What America has done to the
Third World is now being visited on America. America is being financially
raped by corporations and the national debt is growing at an almost
exponential rate.... That's the plan.
America cannot survive in their eyes. America, as a country wields the only
force left in the world capable of stopping the banks. As a result America,
after being used to subvert the third world, will now be tossed aside in
favour of globalization. The political "Gondwannaland" created by merging
every country in the world will be managed by district from a central
governing core "Board of Directors". Corporations will take ownership of
continents and the inhabitants will do their bidding or be destroyed. All
that matters is that the few at the top control everything.
Is America next? Am I wrong? If not, what can we do about it? How do we
motivate the citizenry to actually revolt? There isn't much time.
Yours truly,
Steve Salken

VIDEO IS TRUE BUT TOO VULGAR
I so appreciate your website and insight into all that is transpiring in
these seemingly “last days”. I love G. Edward Griffin and his ability to
expound on complex and profound topics. I read both The Creature from
Jekyll Island and World Without Cancer . . . both excellent,
excellent books!
However, I just want to make a comment on the Brasscheck video about
Blackwater on this last Unfiltered News. Of course, the information is
shocking and unbelievable, but I know true . . . so why is it that
inevitably the producers need to be vulgar? I just don’t get it. I would
love to pass on information like this but feel hesitant because of the one
statement—I found very offensive. It’s not spoken, but written on one of the
frames.
I know this is not your content, but if it could be cut or something, it
would be so much more of an effective tool to share with others—in my humble
opinion, that is.
Thank you so very much for what you do. God bless and keep you all,

SHOULD WE SUPPORT RUSSELL MEANS
AND THE LAKOTA INDIANS? (See latest entries at the end)
We have received several inquiries about why we have not urged the support
of Russell Means who has called for separation of the Lakota Indians from
the United States. In outline form, here is the reason. (If you are in a
hurry and don't have time for the details, I suggest you jump ahead and read
just the last two paragraphs, starting with item six.)
1. Russell Means is considered to be a founder of the American Indian
Movement; although, in later years after a split developed between him and
the organization, AIM went to considerable length to distance itself from
Means and to downplay his role.
2. AIM has, from its beginning, been closely aligned with Marxists who have
pursued the classical Leninist strategy of dividing a target nation into
splinter regions through a revolutionary strategy called War of National
Liberation. This calls for identifying a religious, ethnic, or racial group
within a target nation that can be mobilized on the basis of some grievance
against the government or the ruling class. There usually are plenty of
legitimate grievances to draw upon, but the strategy calls for making them
worse and, if possible, even to create new ones. The objective is, not
reform, but bitterness, hatred, violence, and territorial division. This
strategy has been used in one variation or another in many countries, and it
is easy to identify if you know the rules by which they play. AIM has always
played by those rules, and its Leninist orientation is clearly visible. (If
you would like more information about this strategy, please contact me at
ge.griffin@verizon.net, and I’ll be glad to send you the transcript of a video I
produced on that topic some years ago entitled: “More Deadly Than War; The
Blueprint for Communist Revolution in America.”)
3. After being caught up in this movement in the
beginning, Means eventually rejected the Leninist influence and, after a
protracted period of disagreement with other leaders, resigned from AIM.
Actually, the organization was quick to repudiate him and, in one of its press releases,
claimed that he had resigned no less than six times, so we can well
imagine what conflict went on at the leadership level.
4. There is no doubt that much of that conflict centered around the ideology
of Communism. While his former comrades remained faithful to traditional
Marxist/Leninist strategies and slogans, Means began to speak out against them. In a speech delivered in July 1980 at the International
Survival Gathering in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Means said in no
uncertain terms that Marxism was not the solution for the grievances of his
people. The enemy, he said, was not even capitalism. It was European
culture. Here is a sampling of his remarks:
“Capitalists, at least, can be relied upon to develop uranium as fuel only
at the rate at which they can show a good profit. That's their ethic, and
maybe that will buy some time. Marxists, on the other hand, can be relied
upon to develop uranium fuel as rapidly as possible simply because it's the
most "efficient" production fuel available. That's their ethic, and I fail
to see where it's preferable. Like I said, Marxism is right smack in the
middle of the European tradition. It's the same old song. … The only manner
in which American Indian people could participate in a Marxist revolution
would be to join the industrial system, to become factory workers, or
"proletarians," as Marx called them. The man was very clear about the fact
that his revolution could occur only through the struggle of the
proletariat, that the existence of a massive industrial system is a
precondition of a successful Marxist society. … So, in order for us to
really join forces with Marxism, we American Indians would have to accept
the national sacrifice of our homeland; we would have to commit cultural
suicide and become industrialized and Europeanized. … Marxism has something
of a history. Does this history bear out my observations? I look to the
process of industrialization in the Soviet Union since 1920 and I see that …
the territory of the USSR used to contain a number of tribal peoples and
they have been crushed to make way for the factories. The Soviets refer to
this as "the National Question," the question of whether the tribal peoples
had a right to exist as people; and they decided the tribal peoples were an
acceptable sacrifice to industrial needs. I look to China and I see the same
thing. I look to Vietnam and I see Marxists imposing an industrial order and
rooting out the indigenous tribal mountain people. … I hear a leading Soviet
scientist saying that when the uranium is exhausted, then alternatives will
be found. I see the Vietnamese taking over a nuclear power plant abandoned
by the U.S. military. Have they dismantled and destroyed it? No, they are
using it. I see China exploding nuclear bombs, developing nuclear reactors,
and preparing a space program in order to colonize and exploit the planets
the same as the Europeans colonized and exploited this hemisphere. It's the
same old song, but maybe with a faster tempo this time. … I do not believe
that capitalism itself is really responsible for the situation in which
American Indians have been declared a national sacrifice. No, it is the
European tradition; European culture itself is responsible.” (See:
http://www.dickshovel.com/Banks.html.)
5. So, it’s clear why Russell Means does not get along with his former
comrades who continue to have an affinity to Marxist-style collectivism.
However, in spite of the fact that, more recently, he has supported the
Libertarian Party and the Ron Paul presidential campaign, I can find nothing in his words
or actions that reveal an clearly defined attitude
about collectivism in general. The Libertarian Party embraces people from a
wide range of ideological conviction, including collectivists who are merely
expressing disgust for the leadership of the other parties. I would hope that
Means' affinity to the heritage of his ancestors would raise him above that,
but I am mindful that the Indian tradition also contains strong elements of
collectivism. I would like to have the opportunity someday to talk with him
about this. However, until we know where he stands on the conflict between
collectivism and individualism, we cannot automatically assume that he is a
champion of freedom.
6. Adding to this need for caution is the fact that Means is calling for
secession of the Lakota Indians from the United States and has appealed to
that great collectivist assembly of totalitarianism, the UN, for moral,
legal, and possibly physical assistance. He has asked for a seat in the
General Assembly. While any freedom-seeking person with common sense would
be working to get the U.S. out of the U.N., Means is working to get out of
the U.S. and into the U.N.
This is the reason we did not jump on the Russell Means bandwagon. He may
not be a Marxist/Leninist, but he still appears to be promoting the strategy
of so-called national liberation, and he is seeking to align himself with
the U.N., arguably the worst bunch of dictators and despots the world has ever
known. I don’t
see how anything good can come out of that, certainly not for the Lakota
Indians.
RESPONSE FROM JOHN SAMBDMAN:
Mr. Griffin,
I have read your concerns regarding a cautious support of Russell Means and
the Lakotah Indians. Initially, I was encouraged by his efforts to establish
a sovereign nation within US borders, especially since it would give me
somewhere to go if our government became too oppressive. I understand your
misgivings of his appeal to the UN, but what other avenue is available to
him if he is to essentially force the USA to give up nearly 5 states and
possibly as many as 11?
They have no means of forcing acceptance and as you say those without power
cannot defend liberty. Ideally, I would like to see them succeed without an
appeal and possible dependence on the UN. Have you approached Russell means
and how would you suggest he proceed?
There are several other states entertaining secession, perhaps we could
forge our own International body of liberty minded nations and states akin
to the UN but instead working to promote individual liberty and standing in
the way of governmental oppression of individual rights. I have been
suggesting to those around me to start our own nation and attract liberty
minded individuals to move there akin to Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”. I
believe an environment where one can live unmolested by government and free
to innovate would lead to real world solutions to our energy crisis among
other problems. Unrestricted Hemp production comes to mind. (No I am not a
pothead, I have never taken marijuana or any other recreational drug). I
look forward to your thoughts on these topics. I have enjoyed your books and
Freedom Force International is a breath of fresh air in what is quickly
becoming an oppressive environment.
Sincerely,
John Sambdman
REPLY FROM GEG:
I believe that, at the present time, the only possibility of success is to
create a freedom movement among the Lakotah Indians dedicated to the
recapture of their state and local governments through Constitutional means.
That, of course, is the mission of Freedom Force. I see no reason to
consider a solution for Indians different than the solution for the rest of
us. We are all Americans now and must work to build a united effort, not one
that will divide us further. I have not had an opportunity to talk to
Russell Means about this but would welcome the opportunity.
The idea of a new nation is appealing, but I have no idea where it would be.
It would not be within the current United States without a second Civil War
– which is not a very good idea. Thanks for your interest in this topic.
PLAINS INDIANS NOT COLLECTIVIST
COMMENT FROM CHARLES PERRY
I write here about what I was taught of the Plains Indian Tradition. This
very short "advisory" is no more than my interpretation of the lessons I
learned (in the oral tradition) at the feet of elders who consistently
rejected "collectivism" in a way that is not unlike your own. They had
little or no "book learning" but were no less wise for it.
The role of the "community" (the "group") was, of course, to facilitate the
survival of all the individuals in the group....especially the very young
and the elderly. It was "a given" that the application of the methods in
this "communal" effort of survival were based on the highest respect for the
individual....including benefactor and recipient. This way-of-going was not
an "intellectualized rule"....it was based on the example presented to each
by The Creator of all. This example is everywhere evident in our natural
world.
It was distinctly NOT the role of the "community" to ENFORCE sharing by any
particular individual, except by example (not unlike the work of private
sector charities in our modern world, for want of a better metaphor). To the
extent that the "community" had ANY enforcement role (pursuant to the
example presented to all by The Creator), it was to protect the right of
each individual to express his/her individual uniqueness.......especially
when such "uniqueness" was strange or unusual to the majority. (Even the
greedy had the right to be so....it was known that such a person would
sooner or later receive his/her reward at the mercy of the natural
laws....if not the mother-in-law.)
Except in highly unusual circumstances, the elders were very hesitant to
involve the "group leadership" {usually a council of elders in one form or
another} in discouraging even individual behavior that the majority
considered to be "outrageous". On those very rare occasions when such
behavior became a real and present threat to the entire community, a premium
was placed on correction (and punishment in the context of correction).
It should be noted that, on such rare occasions, the elders invariably first
admitted a failure on the part of "the group" (of individuals) in
maintaining the kind of balance that might have prevented the lamentable
need for the intervention of the group in any kind of "enforcement
proceeding" whatsoever. It was understood that prolonged disequilibrium of
all kinds inevitably leads to a threat to the freedom of each and of all.
Threats to freedom, like disequilibrium, are directly counter to the Natural
Laws as made evident by The Creator everywhere in our physical world.....and
are to be avoided by individuals and by individuals operating in groups.
This is the real source of "sovereignty" -- a concept that is more often
than not turned into a malapropism in the application of today's written
jurisprudence*.
The closeness of the "essentially nomadic" hunter-gatherer bands of The
People, especially that closeness born of their need to assist each other in
physical survival, has led many modern thinkers to view the inter-dependence
of most Plains Indians as being "collective" in form (in the sense of the
diminution of the individual that is all too evident in today's societies).
This is a false parallel.
The modern ethic of "the collective" (especially the all but limitless
enforcement power of "the group") was anathema to the real Plains Indian
Tradition.
The welfare and freedom of the group was then (and is now) directly
dependent upon the protection (by the group) of the right granted to the
individual by The Creator to be free to determine his/her own "welfare" in
all matters of living.....and dying. This tradition is directly contrary to
the ethic of modern collectivism -- be it proto-fascist or proto-socialist
(or the bastardies of the two as practiced by those few who wield great
earthly power over the means of exchange).
It is the considered opinion of Ye Scribe that the following "one liner"
puts very simply the truth about the Plains Indian Tradition: The "glue"
that held the community together was then (and now is) a mutual respect by
everyone in the group(s) for the inalienable rights of the individual(s).
Moreover, it puts simply the essential founding ethic of our Constitutional
Republic.....and is the underlying theme of our present revolution for which
Ron Paul has so gallantly (and graciously) volunteered to provide a focal
point.
I traveled the local rodeo circuit one summer long ago with Russell Means'
first cousin. He was a businessman and a voting Republican.....with natural
libertarian "leanings". It has been several years since I last spoke by
phone with him while he was affiliated with an Indian College in another
state. It is doubtful that he could readily arrange the meeting you mention,
but if nobody in-or-about Russell's current entourage/milieu steps forward
to attempt such arrangements (such a failure would surprise me; though it
probably should not, given what I've seen), I would consider putting out a
probe for that purpose.
I am told that Russell has a vocal but very small group of supporters at
Pine Ridge and environs....but his influence could be considerable among the
"white wine" crowd (some of whom are ready for a life-changing epiphany).
According to what I've seen and read, those non-Natives now surrounding
Russell would likely fail "with flying colors" the test to which you refer
in your quote cited at the top of this message. On the other hand, there are
additional matters worth considering that depend not one whit upon Russell
Means.
For example, if it had been open-minded and honest, a small but concerted
effort led by Natives among Native voters in ND, as a case in point, would
have EASILY led to Ron Paul taking first place in the primary/caucus process
earlier this year (you will see that the incredibly small total numbers
statewide verify this contention).
Beyond electoral politics, of course, there are a host of inherently organic
reasons why the indigenous people of our land should be involved in the
freedom movement.
One result affecting our particular Native band has been much legalistic
confusion among many would-be allies from all walks of life who rightly
dissent against the status-quo today. Such confusion has led many
non-Natives to desire "membership" in our Native Band; and has led to
several splinter groups among us {only a few individuals in each case} whose
half-baked understanding of legal "sovereignty" has provided
rationalizations for engaging in distractions.
These distractions range from filing appeals to the UN and The Hague to
pandering to criminality including "selling memberships" nationwide to
non-Native dissenters and even illegal aliens. (Some of these
members-by-purchase are now looking to Russell Means' bunch to provide their
next distraction from the real work of preserving/re-establishing our
sovereignty.)
In the case of our Native Band, these Native splinter groups are all
dominated by non-Natives operating in the name of self-appointed "chiefs",
have little or nothing to do with the elders of our treaty heirs (for whom I
was long ago chosen to judiciously speak, according to traditional protocol,
by the late last hereditary Chief), and are likely being allowed to continue
their nefarious tactics because they provide useful lists of names to an
assortment of federal agencies (including Immigration and Customs
Enforcement) intent on justifying their need for ever-expanding budgets. The
tactics of "Divide & Conquer" often rely upon the ignorance of the
well-intentioned.
With appreciation and respect,
Charles Perry
